M is for make-up artist

M is for makeup artist…and that is one of the many hats I wear on a daily basis.

Kiss, makeup, and get gorgeous with me!

I perfect my client’s complexion with my hands and a makeup brush. However, I have to create the same beauty magic and on some days miracle on my face daily. Here is a day in the life.

5:45 AM Wake up early to be on TV here in Sunny, Florida on the one and only Channel 4 WJXT. Get ready and have a quick yogurt and jasmine tea and go.

7:10 AM Leave to go to the TV station.

8:00 AM arrive at the station. Makeup case in tow I arrive to do my beauty/skin or fashion segment. I am what they call a regular guest with my look good and feel fabulous tips.

Sometimes they come and shoot at my studio to tape or do a LIVE segment depending on their needs. I always have to think creatively for them. Sometimes I feature a model to demo on. Which is usually a client and the clients love it! It is their time to shine with me. The community enjoys it too!

Sometimes, I am scheduled to air live at 8:15 or so however because of breaking news…I have to wait until 8:40 AM to go on with one of the show hosts/reporters. Today everything ran smoothly no breaking news.

Today’s segment was on Mom To Be make-up and NEW mommy makeup.

8:35 AM pack up and leave the station. Drive off to my business.

9:15 AM Return calls, read e-mails, make calls, send e-mails. Check on our mail orders and see if anything has come in. Check to see if any clients have requested an appt. or have a beauty dilemma.

Have a piece of fruit and a cup of hot jasmine tea.

Touch up my makeup by powdering my nose and reapply lipstick.

11:00 AM Makeup 2 clients for a Beauty for two quikie  Makeup applications.

1:00 PM arrive at the photography studio for a quick photo shoot for my business….the client is ME~ I need product photos for my wesite and attention to detail is most important. 1:15PM After quick hellos and tell the photographer what I envision… Time is money I do not chitchat I get to work. The model is product today.

3:00PM Photo shoot is done. Pack up and go.

4:00-5:00 PM Back to my makeup studio and meet with clients and return phone calls.

6:00  Powder my nose and add a lipgloss and meet my honey for a cocktail party for his  business.

Schmooz until 9:30PM

Aren’t you exhausted? I AM…so ready for a bubble bath.
