Packing is exhausting!

Especially after a year and half of NO airplane ✈️ travel. not sure what to really expect this travel trip! But two flights and flying with a mask 😷 on is going to be a bit of a challenge. But I know I’ll make it. This pandemic isn’t quite over.

I’ve spent ALL day packing my luggage 🧳 , unpacking and planning my trip. Packing my clothes and beauty supplies for my class requires precise packing as it must conform to weight limits and that’s always a task for a woman! Namely me.

Don’t ya just love 💕 my luggage? I got it from TJMaxx before the pandemic and it’s so cool 😎 rolling it around. I’ve been doing the happy dance with it during the pandemic. Waiting for this time to happen and travel on an airplane again!

I’m excited to get away and guest speak at the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conference again. Alongside the International Beauty Show. Both shows are absolutely amazing.

I get high when I fly! Because I love to fly!

I can’t wait to meet my class of beauty professionals, dermatologists, plastic surgeons and spa owners. The show attracts beauty and wellness professionals from all over the 🌎 world. It’s going to be different this year with social distancing and on and off face masks in 108 degrees.

But I know it’s going to be FABULOUS!

Stay tuned I’ll share my work and play adventure!

If you’re a beauty PRO maybe I’ll see you there!

The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show Is Officially Canceled—Goodbye & Good Riddance! — StyleCaster

I am kinda gonna miss the glitz the glam, the makep and the hair a bit BUT ….happy we have stepped out of the box!

Who runs the world? ALL women in ALL beautiful sizes! Just like your age …

Size is just a number.

It’s true: The Victoria’s Secret Fashion Show is canceled for 2019. Not as in, we’re boycotting (though we were already planning on it.) I love you Chicago again and again!

I traveled to Chicago recently but it wasn’t long enough! Although I travel ✈️ there often. I never get tired of exploring new places and visiting some of my fave places too.

Here are a few highlights from my trip.

I love staying at the W hotel on the lake and I also love to stay at the iconic Palmer House. But this time I stayed with my husband at the Residence Inn 700 in the Loop. What a beautiful stay! Such cozy Suites with fabulous beddings and a kitchen with a dishwasher, huge refrigerator and mini loft bing room space area.

I discovered a beautiful church around the in corner in a section they call the Loop. I fell 😍 love! I attended several masses and services. A gem 💎 in the heart of downtown. Run by Franciscan friars.

I love shopping the magnificent Michigan Avenue. AKA the Miracle Mile …

So many shops so little time! One of my fave fashion shops is called Akira. Also since I love 💕 all things fun I shop at Riley Rose!

Food glorious food is another thrill in Chicago! I never get tired of their hot dogs, donuts and dim sum in Chinatown! Oh and this time I discovered a real chocolate filled bao delight! Warm and fluffy and so delicious.

I so wanted to go for a spa day but after doing everything else no time left.

Have you been to Chicago? Lately? Do share.

I so love 💕this!

I used to work for the designer Diane Von Furstenberg in NYC. One thing that stood out with me is her love for 👗 dresses!

After all she created the first wrap dress! I owned so many of them! And felt like a million in them!

Now as time goes by I am on a passionate all things lips 👄 high with another awesome designer with a huge creative and playful touch of whimsy!

Designer Betsey Johnson!

Do you love her too like I do???

Isn’t this dress a adorable?

Manicure MUST have!

My biggest beauty secret is to ALWAYS wear sunscreen! It is the best way to age less and protect your skin. It is NEVER too late to start using sunscreen. Not JUST for your face but your hands and body too.

But do you use it when you go for a mani & pedi?

I recently featured on TV ManiGlovz a set of awesome gloves for your hands! They are created by a woman and MADE for us to use when getting a gel or basic manicure. Made in the USA too!

They protect the top of our hands which show our age beside the eye area. The reason they are used is from the possible damage of the light systems they use when getting manicure. Something we don’t think twice about. But as a skin cancer survivor I simply had to enlighten and share this invention with you!

Featured in Allure magazine (our beauty bible)…And quite a unique creation. SAY NO to specks and brown spots on the tops of our hands. If you want to love, soften and protect your skin. So many other pretty styles to choose from.

You need to be all in and get a pair!

UV protection

One size fits most/stretchable

Retains shape

Machine wash cold/hang dry

Sun protection/while driving

Lightweight

My new go to…that I simply had to share with you!

Falling for Fall’s new fashion accessories!

I am a huge fan of accessories. Are you?

I don’t have to have diamonds, gemstones or designer things (although Betsey Johnson is my weakness) but I do love both the unique, fun and classic. I recently traveled to Dallas and had the best time working and playing. Shopping is work too. Sometimes you can shop for hours and not find a thing and turn around and go home. But this trip I found a gorgeous cotton candy pink glam necklace and earring set with diamond like crystals. $3.00 worth of gorgeousness. I also found a pair of trouser sock like stockings in the prettiest shade of pink. $1.00 scored! After the spring, summer, winter you can find some AMAZING deals as the stores are getting ready for new merchandise. You know out with the old in with e new. Their trash is your treasure.

I love the way just by adding a few fashion pieces to your fall wardrobe can go a long way.

Here are a few things to spice up your fall wardrobe.

Choose pearls (faux is fine) they are always in fashion and NOT just for old ladies! I have them in ALL colors from earrings to bracelets and necklaces.

A classic pair or three of cubic zirconia or Austrian crystal earrings. They never fail to impress. No one knows they are not diamonds but you.

What’s still  trending in necklaces are a large statement necklaces (especially pretty on taller gals) OR a simple tiny diamond like stone other design necklaces. Small but makes a statement. Necklaces always that little something to a plain outfit from blue jeans to that basic black dress. Celebrities are a master at this look.

A new pair of sunglasses (Sunnies) will not only protect your eyes from wrinkling faster they are so much fun and tres chic. Some days it is all about a great pair of sunglasses and a luscious lipstick!

It is STILL so HOT in Florida where we do see some sort of fall but I am sure you are feeling cooler fall wherever you are. Enjoy the beauty of this color filled explosion nature has to offer.

Spice up that wardrobe with a few new pieces and ENJOY!

And then she woke up …a Duchess!

IMG_1725.jpgJust like that!

I admit it… I slept in NOT my choice my body had other ideas (Friday night we did a POP-Up shop for my business and it was a long exhausting day) so I did not watch the wedding of the year while it was happening! However, I did watch and still am devouring every crumb I can get of it on TV and online.

Since I am in the business of beauty I couldn’t let this wedding pass without sharing my  thoughts on this bride!

I loved her look, style and wedding day choices. I thought her makeup was effortless and not trying too much nor over the top glam.

This is the kind of bridal makeup I do on my clients. Softly defined and naturally gorgeous!

Luminous skin,a nude pink lipstick, chocolate brown eye shadow, peachy pink  soft cheeks and a defined brow all worked to make her look simply beautiful! The icing on her pretty face? Pretty freckles peeking through.

Her face was prepped months ahead to a few facials and contouring facials a technique by the famous esthetician  Nichola Joss who works across the pond in London and in NYC. She recommends a bride prepare her skin for the big day months ahead and so do I.

In case you didn’t know it the Duchess likes to shop a variety of places as well as  Whole Foods and is an avid foodie and very health conscious. She’s even got the Prince doing green drinks with her!

Rumor had it she would do her own makeup. Well, she did not. She had a little help by a makeup artist Daniel Martin.

Her hair was styled by Serge Normant ala NYC.Stylist to SJP and Julia Roberts to name a few of his VIP and celebrity clientele. I’ve always wanted to get my haircut or styled by him back home!

Royals have been gifted Essie nail lacquer and have worn that brand in the past. Not sure if Essie’s Ballet Slippers was on her well manicured nails.

Stylists predicted that Meghan would choose a sparkly heavy beaded wedding gown by certain designers ala a Disney Princess. They were wrong!  She chose the beauty of Givenchy by a designer from England. I thought her gown was…simple and elegant.

This very modern bride and ceremony was amazing. Down to those adorable boys and flower girls!

I am so happy for Prince Harry! Aren’t you?

The American girl who became a Duchess… 22 YEARS after she posed pretty with a friend in front of Buckingham Palace sitting on the fence. A fairy tale indeed!

What are your thoughts? I’d love to hear from you!

Who wore it best?

Do we have the fashion gods to thank for tonight’s exceptional Met Gala red carpet? We’re not sure if it’s the religion theme or the fact that three style icons (Donatella Versace, Rihanna and Amal Clooney) are hosting this year’s festivities, but for once, we’re happy to see the majority of attendees actually honor the…

AS SEEN ON TV

Today I shared on RIVER CITY LIVE TV in sunny Jacksonville Florida some beautiful products that I discovered in NYC and some fashionable delights too.
