The Beauty in TEA Time!

There’s so much beauty in sipping a cup of TEA. The process alone is so relaxing and calming…especially when I have time for it. Not just a quick cup of it in the morning.

How about you do you like coffee or tea or both?

A few weeks ago I had a flight delayed in Atlanta and instead of going to the Delta Sky Club we chose to go to P.F.Chang’s. Stressed from running from one Terminal to another. Tired because the day had been very long and just wanted a cozy spot to compose and chill. Their tea is delightful iced or hot. But my fave is hot served in this pot. This is the way they serve it. By the time we had a few potstickers and two pots of tea we were so chilled out for our next hour flight home with a midnight arrival. Look for them on your next trip via Atlanta.

If you’re not traveling and at home. Save the tea bag or tea leaves from your tea and enjoy a facial steam with the leftovers. I like chamomile flowers found at your local fancy market. Lavender buds are also another great choice and both are calming. All you do is add the flowers or buds to a bowl of hot or very warm water you boiled from your tea pot. Place a lightweight towel over your head and go near the bowl for the steam to hit your face. Be careful. Do this for at least 10 minutes.Double-duty beauty! Inside and out.

So next time you’re stressed, rushed or just plain need a few minutes to yourself.

Skip the wine and have some tea time!

Perfecting that perfect Liner & Lip!

Shadow Shields Liner tip

Even as a professional makeup artist I have trouble creating that perfect liquid eyeliner and pretty in place pout sometimes.

Those of you who are challenged you know this problem too. In all my travels for my work in beauty and play  I see many women and girls who go way overboard with eyeliner or the line is out-of-place  like a mountain view the liner is up and down. I also see this at cafes, the airport or out & about ladies applying their  lipstick on their lips and they then rub their lips together at the airport,in cafes and out and about. They are TRYING…but that is not what you are supposed to do.

IF you want a rescue to both these problems…Give Shadow Shields a test drive they are like a beauty bib for your boo boo’s and little makeup messes!

Super cool…

Ready,Set,Pack!

nail mini

Are you traveling out of town or just a mini staycation for overnight.
It is so important to pack your summer beauty right! Don’t take everything but the kitchen sink.Keep it simple but take what you want and need.

Here are some of my packing secrets to a lighter beauty bag and without the stress.

First downsize your containers! Don’t take the large hair styling gel,the biggest hand cream or the largest face cream you have.Buy mini travel containers, fill them with your creams, scrubs, face wash etc.
Travel with only the product amount you need for the time you are going to be gone away.

Next put down that large perfume spray bottle or splash. Maybe it is time you tried sleek roll on perfume bottles or take those samples your fave cosmetic counter has given you. Not only will the airline take that bottle you adore. They will take it away FOREVER if you bring it in your carry on or purse…you really don’t need the big bottle.

Sample and mini me sizes work wonders.
They are such a breeze to use and travel with. Take any samples or mini sizes with you in a baggie and USE them! So much lighter and easier.

Scale down that toothpaste tube, shave cream and hairspray too!

Fill your vitamins or any other supplements in a mini vitamin envelope especially made for them. Or put them in a pill pack for on the go.
