I love makeup but I also love to cook. Let’s celebrate every single day in our own way! Missing going to our fave Mexican eatery I had a craving for something. So I am making Margaritas and a crisp cold salad and this recipe. I am watching my calories since the pandemic has me filling all of my cravings for food and sweets. It is tough isn’t it?

Here is a recipe I enjoy for healthy Mexican sliders.

1 lb of ground turkey

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp black pepper

1tbsp chili powder

1 avocado mashed

8 tomato slices

4 reduced fat pepper jack cheese

Prepare in a medium bowl, mix together turkey, chili powder, garlic powder, and black pepper. Divide your turkey into 8 different portions to make a slider shape into a patty.

Place patty in frying pan. cook well for at least 3 to 5 minutes

Place burger on a bun and top with 2 tsp avocado, 1 tomato slice and 1/2 a cheese slice. OR switch it up and create your own version to suit your taste!

Life is delicious!

ENJOY!

Quiche Me Quick!

photo QUICHE

GOOD DAY DARLINGS!

I mentioned when I started this blog I like to cook and makeup and I wanted to share a few recipes from time to time with you. Some beauty and some food!

The hurricane got in our way so we couldn’t getaway out of town like we planned. So I got in the kitchen and got to cooking. I just made a few quiche while giving myself a Greek Yogurt and organic honey face mask. The QUICHE turned out yummy and awesome don’t you agree?

Do you like to collect recipes an recipe books? Or COOK and prepare the recipes?

My sweet and savory husband thinks I like to kiss more than I cook. He can’t believe how many recipe books I collect but he thinks they collect dust instead of getting read you see. I disagree. Look at this cheesy luscious quiche! It is made with brie, scallions, cherry tomatoes,Swiss cheese and a vat of butter.(only kidding)

I’d love to hear from you too and hear about any recipes  you’d like to share with me too. My schedule is hectic, days are long and sometimes I am way too tired to cook.

But as I mentioned I do love to cook as much as I love to make up my face and paint my pout!

Recipe for Awesome Bites!

One of my friends Danette known as the Dessert Diva shared this yummy recipe with me! She is on the Chat TV talk show like me.www.firstcoastnews.com.

You know how I love to cook and makeup!

Here is her recipe for a hard to believe good for you and FIBER rich treat. Danette on The Chat photo

Energy and fiber your body needs!

1 1/4 cups raw almonds
1 /14 cups dates (pitted)
1 Tbsp  honey ( maybe a bit more)
Pinch of salt

Grind almonds and dates in food processor until fine ( a little coarse is ok, too) add honey and salt. Process until well combined. ..it should be sticky enough to form a ball. Press down in a 8×8 pan lined with foil. Make sure to press down hard, so it really holds together. Let sit approx 1 hour. Pull foil out of pan, and cut into squares.

If it needs more honey to stick together, that is fine. You could use more dates in beginning if you like.

So easy and it tasted SO DELICIOUS!

I can’t wait to go shop for the ingredients and whip up these squares for myself when I travel and serve to my clients too. Enjoy!

I’m Bananas D.I.Y. Face mask

*Add a dash of lemon juice so the avocados don’t turn. But it is not necessary.
Mash all of the above and give your skin some LOVE!

Day 15 to more beautiful skin!

peaches
There are so many lotions and beauty potions out there. But there is NOTHING like doing an at home treatment from the kitchen. Not only are you what you eat. YOU also are what you put on your face!

I love to whip up my own beauty potions…those of you who read my blog know I love to eat, cook, makeup and entertain. So, here is a fresh beauty concoction to try and enjoy! My friends who are of Asian descent recommend this and their skin looks amazing.

Peaches & Cream Face Mask

1/2 ripe peach

Grind or crush the almonds in a coffee grinder.I have one just for beauty recipes. Add honey and make a nice mask out of this.I apply this to face and neck.
Leave on fifteen minutes.Rinse well.Look in the mirror and glance at the new texture and feel of your skin.
Moisturizer to follow.
You will be tempted to eat this mask…but enjoy it ON your face~
