This beauty crime happened yet again!

I’ve been traveling a lot lately and I can’t resist popping by a few of my favorite big box store out of town. You never know what you’ll find. Right? I was filling my basket with some awesome fashion finds and then browsed the Beauty Dept. I wasn’t there but a couple of minutes and what did I see? A lovely woman before me. I went to look at a few beauty tools when this woman turned around and smiled at me. I smiled back. Smiling and being kind is what I love to do. In a few seconds I was SHOCKED at what I saw. This woman was OPENING all the makeup kits and makeup she could get her hands on. One by one she put the products on her ARM and hands swatching away! I was pretty horrifed when she placed her NOSE in some foundation bottles and creams. At one point she had the tip of her nose filled with creamy white face cream and did all of this NOT even phased by me being there.

I don’t know about you but I NEVER do this and I have never had any clients do this at my private makeup studio. It was so troubling to see. 2 and 1/2 years into Covid you’d think she learned a thing about beauty safety and more.

All of this happened for over 10 minutes as I got lost in the beauty aisle. I could not help but notice her every move testing,swiping and sniffing. It didn’t matter to her that I was even there. NEXT she closed up the boxes and other products and shoved them back on the shelves. I could not stay. I simply had to walk away.

But what was most troubling is a supervisor directed two employees to put out new merchandise and displays to her specification ALL while this lady was testing all the beauty products she could get her hands on. The were so engrossed with their conversations and displays they let this happen a few inches away not feet.

I love discount and closeout stores but this really turned me off and made me think yet again….BEWARE and BE AWARE.

What you are buying may have been rifled through and someone elses germs can be all over what you buy!$

What do you think? I think it is a beauty crime I don’t want to witness it again. I will still shop this store but will proceed with caution what I buy there down the beauty and skin care aisles.

On the go? Give your Lipsticks 💄 some …

Much needed attention. Your cosmetic bag is longing to be touched!

Stranded at the airport, waiting in the car 🚘 pool line or even at home. Use your time wisely and give your lipsticks some LOVE.

Grab those lipsticks & quickly disinfect them!

If you happen to get a Purell wipes, towelettes from a restaurant after your meal or have some rubbing alcohol disinfectant pads. get out your lipstick tubes and lipgloss wands and disinfect those tubes!

It’s kind of satisfying and fun to do!

1. Take the top off.

2. Roll up those tubes. Be gentle not all the way. Only up to where you’ve used the tube.

3. Swipe and wipe the lipstick itself all around.

4. Next wipe the tube packaging itself. You know lots of germs 🦠 are waiting for you there too.

5. Allow them to evaporate and dry and close the lids.

You’re all set, a quick disinfect and good to go! Safely! Protect those pretty lips!

* A great idea after you have a cold or a fever blister too!

When in doubt…throw it out Darlings!

As the new year rings in… and things have calmed a bit think about your beauty and skin care products not just eating better and losing weight!

And now is the hard part. Smell them, shake them and see which you may have to part with.Yes, actually throw out and start fresh! Bad beauty isn’t very pretty and surely not healthy.

As a professional makeup artist I see ALL kinds of cosmetic bags.But some of my clients collections of makeup and their makeup bags frighten me!

• Her bottle of foundation has turned green along with the beige hue.
• Another clients  lipsticks had a horrific scent and didn’t glide on like silk.
• Their eyeliners are so chopped up and the wood base is ready to rip out her cornea anytime.I know this was from not sharpening with the correct pencil sharpener.
• Another clients nail polishes are turning yellow and green…it makes me want to scream!
• The blush has such an oil build up on it I could fry french fries on the powder blush from her facial oil.
• The skin care smells rancid and her sunscreen shakes very watery as it has lost its magic.

The truth is you can’t keep skincare,makeup,nail polish and more forever!!!

I know you love that fave’ shade they discontinued years ago but you’ve got to say goodbye to it. For the sake of your complexion and your health…this is a must.So, now with the  weekend here…perhaps you have some time my dear to play a game I call Let’s Throw It Out!

Restart your beauty game or your face and health won’t look the same.

My New BABY!

We just a launched a beautiful NEW baby girl!

I worked very very hard on her and wanted to share this happy news with you.When you are an indie brand and sweet & petite brand and business owner every little things counts. Things don’t  get handed to you on a silver platter. It takes lots of work.

I loved doing the photo shoot for products and selecting the photos that will be used on the site. I enjoyed piecing the words together in my voice. I wanted this new website to be even better. Still the same name,beautiful brands but even more unique products and ones that mean something.

I cherry pick whatever brands I select to feature and only put my name on products that we LOVE and use and what can they do for you. In this land of lipsticks,lotions and potions you have to stand out in a sea of big names and corporate funding.

It is an online shop to explore new one of a kind finds. Since I’m addicted to lipsticks we’ve added a few new lip products. We have always featured Asian beauty products before they were en vogue. We also love great gift ideas and pretty things with a truly fun twist.

We pride ourselves on no wasteful extra packaging and thing being green is a gorgeous thing! We do not test our products on animals only my beautiful sisters and behind the scenes team. We really care about the consumer and want her to enjoy our products and have beautiful results.

VIVA Las Vegas again!

It is that fabulous time again for me to guest speak at another spa conference. Professionals from all over the world will fly and flock to the Las Vegas Convention Center.It’s HOT ,its work but exciting and fun.

I am going to TRY and post more from the show and even do a few videos from my walk down Beauty Avenue and Skin Streets. I will be guest speaking two classes one on Celebrity Skin Care and another class on MAKEUP.

You know I live and breathe makeup!

I can hardly wait to meet and see them work their magic…the BEST hair stylists that rock hair and some as seen on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

I also look forward to seeing the latest and greatest in nails. Nails are a huge market that is on fire.

This year there will be an All Things Tanning Show…while I am a skin cancer survivor I don’t promote a tanning bed. I am excited to see what new products we will use to get a glorious healthy looking tan without the HOT sun’s rays damage.

I am so happy more of you are following me and sending messages to me and so happy you have become a fan of my blog. I know I don’t post all the time as my business and guest speaking and hubby are my priority.
