I so love 💕this!

I used to work for the designer Diane Von Furstenberg in NYC. One thing that stood out with me is her love for 👗 dresses!

After all she created the first wrap dress! I owned so many of them! And felt like a million in them!

Now as time goes by I am on a passionate all things lips 👄 high with another awesome designer with a huge creative and playful touch of whimsy!

Designer Betsey Johnson!

Do you love her too like I do???

Isn’t this dress a adorable?

Tips for Buying Scents for Spring

LOVE wearing fragrance? Me too! So here are some tips on picking it,wearing it and how long it should last for you. When shopping for a fragrance bring a notepad to write down the brand names and what they smell like to you. Examples:floral, woodsy, musk, jasmineDelicious Stiletto

Then start applying…on your wrists is best. You can’t sniff your neck if you apply it there.

DON’T rub your wrists together after you apply the fragrance to your body. I worked with Designer Diane Von Furstenberg and that was a no no she taught me. It ruins the fragrant essentials oils and essence of the perfume or cologne.

Don’t try more than 3 different fragrances at a time. Your sense of smell will be overwhelmed.

Those paper blotters strips or cards at the fragrance counter are meant to let you spray the fragrance on them instead of on you and sniff away. But they do not let you know how a fragrance will smell on your body.

Ask the sales associate if they have a shaker bottle of fresh coffee beans to smell between trying another fragrance. This does what cool sherbet does when you are fine dining to clear the taste on your tongue between meal courses.

You DON’T have to buy fragrance that day. You can wait and decide another day.

IF the sales associate offers you free samples…take them.Play with them at home.

You never know what you will discover!

Fragrance words of wisdom:

Fashion designer scents,Celebrity scents, top model scents and reality TV stars scents don’t make it better. Personally I have found some amazing fragrances through the years that were not on that list. And expensive does not make it any better. I was given a gift of Kim Kardashian perfume. It smelled awful but had a pretty bottle. You cannot wear the bottle.

My husband ended up using it as room deodorizer in his bathroom!!!

The Beauty of Diane Von Furstenberg

FGI_LogoTxt_193U_hiresCounting down to Fashion Group International’s event to show fashion, design and beauty pro’s the Fall/Winter 2013 color and fashion trend presentation forecast in the one and only New York City.I also look forward to meeting and seeing the faces behind the names of fashion and beauty editors and a fashion blogger.

A woman I continue to admire and worked for in NYC is moderating the event. Diane Von Furstenberg… I truly can’t wait to see and hear her.She is a smart, sexy, charismatic and above all fashionable woman who taught me so much about life and business including her original mantra “Feel like a woman wear a dress.” That mantra stuck with me for years and I am so glad it did. She is so right it does make a difference wearing dresses and skirts versus pants and pant suits.

I own many of her infamous wrap dresses, cosmetic bags, scarves, purses, rain coats and blouses.I even have lipsticks and perfumes from her cosmetic and fragrance launch. Diane is a fashion icon and does more than design clothes! She does many other good works and more woman should follow her lead. http://www.dvf.com Looking for a good read at the beach or on a long weekend this summer?
