Give Your Man Some LOVE!

It is almost that time to celebrate DAD…And with that comes the pressure to buy that perfect gift! Just remember it isn’t all about a material gift.

Sometimes its all about the little things.

Kisses are FREE !

All you have to do is pucker up and start kissing him.Head to toe…let him know how much you care.

Treat dad to breakfast in bed. Call me crazy but I do this almost daily (depending on my schedule) for my husband.  I bought a bed tray years ago from PIER 1 and it was the best money I ever spent and I got it on sale too!

Go to the drug store, grocery store or the always awesome Whole Foods Market.

Fill a tote or a basket with all things you know he will love and within your budget. They have all you need for that eco-friendly health enthusiast in your life. (My new fave brand for men is OLIVINA MEN). From wine, beer, food to shaving lotion to lip conditioner…this store has what you need.

Get him a shirt he will LOVE…Magna Ready is a unique shirt company you’ve gotta see!DSC_5895

Give dad a a bath. Fill a tub with Epsom salts and add a few drops of  pure essential oil like eucalyptus or peppermint or rosemary. Refreshing. I love the brand called Aura Cacia.

If you can get a baby sitter.escape and take him on a date. Nothing nothing date night. Surprise him and drive to the secret location. A yummy ice cream parlor,a new bar you discovered and more.

Drop him off at Massage Envy after you have prearranged an appointment  for a relaxing and fabulous massage.

Take him out for or make him a tropical cocktail at home and give him a foot massage with olive oil from your kitchen at home while he sips away.

D.I.Y. Make him a beard and mustache oil  that is if he has a mustache or beard. Did you know that hair gets dry and the skin underneath of it needs attention too.

1 ounce of jojoba oil

1/2 ounce of grape seed oil

8 drops of sandalwood essential oil

Combine all of the above and funnel in and place in an antique or medicinal bottle with a dropper if possible.Go ahead and shake this up. Include instructions on a sheet of paper on how to use it.

Use your imagination to make it happen. These are just a few of my ideas to get you going. Oh and of course a hand-made card or a LOVE letter would also be a good idea from you and one from the kids.Times running out!

Spread some love and enjoy dad’s day!

Fly me to the Moon…LOVE

l told you I would share with you one of my fave’ products gifted to me from an awesome flight attendant who just happens to be a nurse and an esthetician at the same time.I met her when I gave a speech in Las Vegas a few years at a spa conference. Now, a few months ago I met her again but this time in the air in First Class. I inspired her so much…she has come out with her own skincare collection with adorable names all relating to flying and the toll travel and life has on your skin. See two posts ago for more on her brand. She and DermAire wants everyone to have First Class Skin care!

Here it is:

Crew O2 Emergency Oxygen Mask http://www.dermaire.com

DermaAire says it is a great post-flight recovery mask! Especially after flying most of the day. This glistening skin revitalizing treatment hydrates and awakens the skins youthful glow. I call it awesome in a jar. It is my new go to face mask. A clear yet creamy gel that you only need to apply a thin coat of it. Leave it on 20 minutes to give your skin what it wants and needs. OR Shari Hoy says apply and leave on all night.

I am sipping Chardonnay and wearing this mask right now blogging tonight too.

I will finish tonight with a bubble bath with epsom salts and surrender myself to a GOOD NIGHT of skin bliss.CO2 MASK 8-15

Secrets to a Good Night’s sleep!

photo sleeping toolsInsomnia and stress are two issues women are concerned about an bring up to me about in my beauty business. I take their needs very serious and wanted to post about getting your beauty sleep and perhaps help you.

Here is a healthy pattern to consider nightly: Before you got to sleep or bed…Have a warm cup of calming Holy Basil or chamomile tea.

If you’re no into tea…a warm glass of milk will do. Take a warm bath with cheap Epsom salts. They are AMAZING and relax your muscles and detoxify too.I know what you’re thinking you’re not a bath person! BUT when you can’t sleep and have nights of insomnia this is worth a try. THEY WORK.

Shut off ANY electronics…Only got to bed with your sweetie or yourself not a phone, tablet and more.

Place a few drops of Aura Cacia lavender essential oil into a spray bottle with some distilled or spring water.Spray your room with this relaxing spray.

OR try Serious Insomnia by Jimm Harrison Aromatherapy on a cotton pad and take a sniff, This aromatherapy oil takes you from frazzled and stress to feeling fabulous.

A white noise machine is another useful tool. Turn it on for the ocean, birds tweeting on a spring day and more.My husband loves ours.

If you can’t go to sleep and do get up…go ahead and get up and go into another room and watch TV or read a book or magazine until you feel sleepy. OR do what I love to do and unclutter your head by writing things down in a notebook.

NEVER go to sleep angry with your spouse or children…you will NOT sleep well. Kiss & make up.

Just Breathe!

Are you in a HOLI-gaze?

I see shoppers every day either shopping at my beauty business or at other places. People seem to have a glazed look over their eyes gazing into another place or space.

Tis’ the season for stress to be on the top of your Gift and To Do List. From now until New Years Eve you will me on a mission. Rushing,pleasing,traveling,last-minute shopping and cooking.

If you want to wind it down and I know you do. Try some of these tried and true simple recipes I love to do.Today, tomorrow or into new years eve.

Lavender is your friend in any form! Soap, body lotion, cologne, room spray and more. No matter what forms  you use they will work wonders for you. This essential oil fragrance is awesome. You can even sprinkle lavender-scented baby powder on your sheets, pillows or blankets.

Buy some Chamomile TEA…I love the simple pleasures and relaxing joy I get from sipping this tea.To some is an acquired taste but is an amazing relaxing tea. Serve it as hot tea not cold to benefit best.

Try “Chill Pill” by Aura Cacia sprays away the stress that gets you down.Don’t spread stress around.

Epsom salt baths are a CHEAP thrill! Soak the cares of the day away in a scoop of Epsom salts in a bath tub of warm to  water.

Massage your feet with Vaseline that you added a drop of peppermint oil (not the craft kind but an essential oil for the body) Your feet will love you and your skin will love it too.Peppermint essential oil even the slightest drop I recommend for this beauty recipe makes you feel good.It is also an appropriate seasonal delight. Afterwards give your feet the white sock treat !!! Put your feet in clean white cotton socks. I prefer loose (not tight ones) and wake up with hydrated better looking feet.

Book an escape and get a massage!Take care of yourself…take a TIME OUT just for you.

My husband and I love to do this monthly and bi-monthly when time allows. It is good for your health!

I love the happy calm look my husband has after he gets out of the treatment room from his massage at Massage Envy. Priceless!
