Guac šŸ„‘ at Home…

I’ve always loved guacamole. And learning about a NEW D.I.Y. face mask makes me want to visit The Lodge at Woodloch. Spa in Hailey PA. Even more!

I love ā¤ļø to travel and explore. And spas and beauty stores are at the top of my TO Do list.

I recently read an article in my fave magazine just for industry PROfessionals in America Spa magazine.

I can’t wait to try this recipe after I fly home to Florida after guest speaking at the International Esthetics Cosmetics and SPA Conference show here in Chicago.

Nothing like Gifting a D.I.Y. & Tea

Tis the season and I love to give gifts MORE than receiving them. Really! So I am sharing with you some gift ideas that are a D.I.Y. or store bought that they may just ā¤ļø love.

Here is an easy recipe to make a Japanese Matcha Tea face mask for yourself or someone else.

You can place the Matcha tea in a small glass jar with a recipe and tie it up with a bow or ribbon.

šŸµ Or place this recipe in a gift basket with a pretty Asian style tea cup, a mini bowl for the DIY mask, a face mask brush and include a mini jar of honey and a container of Matcha tea.

Recipe for one treatment to enjoy today:

1 teaspoon of Matcha Tea

1 teaspoon of raw šŸÆlocal honey (I love local)

šŸµ Another gift idea is giving a pretty mug, a box of tea and a few of their favorite magazines or assorted magazines you know they will love ā¤ļø tied in a gold gorgeous ribbon. I still love print and enjoy turning the pages and exploring the magazines in my hand. I know I’m not the only one!

šŸµ Give a teapot, a cup and a Beautiful Journal wrapped with a pretty pen and ready to give. Add a heartfelt note card.

šŸµGive a tea scented candle with a bar of green tea soap and a luxurious sponge.

Give a few teabags from a variety of tea bag boxes and place them in a basket with some store bought or home-made tea biscuits or something yummy you know they love.

Buy them an eye mask and face mask that has TEA as the star ingredient. Add a cup with a tea bag inside for them to enjoy while they mask the day away. Aaah…the beauty of self care!

PLAY and make them a tea blend from tea leaves and flowers: to relax with,to sleep well and or invigorates them to start the day. Choose from: chamomile, lemongrass, lemon peel, lavender, rose hips and more. Recipe is one cup of water to one teaspoon of tea blend.

I hope you have some fun creating and shopping for Tea for One OR a few. It is so nice to receive a gift package that shows you care!

EGGS GLOrious eggs

brown egg with leaf

Photo by Wendy van Zyl on Pexels.com

I so love eggs. They are little bundles of joy for making so many recipes and things and you know they are so good for our health.

I use eggs on my face. My sister uses egg shells to make art. I use eggs for making quiche, fry eggs in a wok and for making these egg cupcakes.

Don’t you love ā¤ļø the way that sounds?

I enjoy making these and I thought I’d share them with you!

What you will need:

12 medium eggs

2 cups of baby spinach

1/2 cup shredded mozzarella cheese

1/2 diced ham steak

1 small tomato, chopped OR add a few baby tomatoes whole

Pre-heat oven to 350 Grease a 12 cup muffin tin.

Whisk and mix all of the above together (But hold off on the spinach leaves) and pour in a cupcake or muffin tin. Add a teaspoon of salt and pepper. Stir in spinach, ham, tomatoes.

Use a 1/3 cup measure and scoop mixture into each muffin cup.

Bake in oven until eggs are puffed and the center is set. Approx. 20 minutes.

Place a small pat of butter on each one when done before serving.

If you want to make these with another cheese…try it. You will find yourself and your sweetie or family wanting even more.

GLOrious Face Mask

Want tighter skin and a glow?  Take a farm fresh organic egg and crack it separating the egg white from the yolk. Add a dash of lemon. Whisk on. Place on a clean face. Enjoy for 15 -20 minutes. It will stiffen up on your face.

Rinse with a a smidge of facial cleanser or facial soap on a luke warm wash cloth.

Follow with a cotton pad with a rosewater facial toner.

Add a dollop of moisturizer and eye cream or gel and get some ZZZZ’s. Wake up refreshed and glowing.

Protect your Neck

Just for kicks and to tighten my skin. I like to make an egg white neck mask. Simply whisk up one egg and place on your neck towards your chest. All you need is a thin coat.. Leave this DIY mask on at least 15 minutes. Rinse and hydrate with your favorite moisturizer and paint the town red!

Even if it is just social distancing with your bestie or sweetie for a drink of lemonade in the back yard patio this 4th weekend.

All Eyes on YOU!

If your practicing social distancing and doing the right thing by wearing a face cover or mask your face is not fully seen when you are out and about. That is why your eyes are NOW the center of attention. Here are a few tips I shared on TV yesterday that you might want to consider and ADD to your EYE beauty routine.

Quarantine Fatigue is a real thing I have it too. We look tired even if we got rest. bUt you can do something about it. GUYS can do some of these tips too.

Refrigerate your eye gel or eye cream. It will FEEL so cool and refreshing when you apply it.

Cucumbers DO work when you place those thin slices on each eye and close your eyes and take a quick nap to rest. Bye Bye Puffy stressed out eyes.

Buy eye masks made of gel or paper or in capsule form…they are filled with ingredients to hydrate, calm and brighten up the eyes.

Experiment with a salmon or yellow concealer. Tap on a few dots under and around the eyes. Pat and blend in softly with your fingers.

I think and always  say “An eye lash curler is like a BOOB Job for your lashes! It lifts them and curls them and is great to use even if you don’t have mascara available. Especially if you are out of your fave mascara.

If you don’t want your mascara to run and smear down and around your eyes…Try Blinc mascara. They say “Don’t paint your lashes tube them.”  The brand does NOT run and you won’t have racoon eyes either. Defines the lashes nicely and removes the tube coating  on your lashes with warm water and a washcloth. Unlike any other mascara you ever tried.

OR use a CLEAR mascara for definition without a tint.

As for wearing eye shadow try wearing a single color like a matte nude, champagne or soft gold hue. Don’t fuss with lots of color. Just add this to highlight your eyes.

Line the eyes with a cocoa, gray, or blue. I live in a creamy gel pencil eyeliner. But I love to define my eyes in this color. If your eyes are deep set or you have tired looking appearance you might want to steer clear from black. Just keep it simple. Especially for the day and the times were in.

I hope you enjoyed these tips and tricks just for your eyes!

Take care of yourself NOW more than ever.

Pandemic Beauty Relief!

If you are looking for a little BEAUTY and skincare relief  you are in luck. Today on TV in sunny Florida on WJXT-4  I shared a few ways you can do this. You’ll feel so much better too!

Is your skin extra oily, lifeless and a few zits got you down?

Got to a drug store and buy a sheet mask. It is a mask that is in a sheet form and goes over your face. They are filled with skin loving goodness and will make your skin look amazing. Instant gratification.

A charcoal or detox mask is black and will help control sebum which comes especially when we are under stress. Buy one of these if your skin is oily or shiny.

Please Note …they also come in a jar and you can apply it with your hands. Let it dry and rinse well. Your face will love you!

If your skin is dry or you have normal to combination skin you need a hydrating sheet mask. These masks just cost a few dollars and work wonders.

Moisturized skin is HAPPY skin!

Don’t forget to moisturize your skin. Not just some days but every day. Face covers we have begun to wear are drying to our skin and lips! So PROTECT both your face and lips.

Lips šŸ‘„ NEED love too.

Use a Vitamin E lipstick or balm and kiss your lips morning and night with it. It’s clear and mighty and you can go to sleep 😓 with it on!

If you’re going CRAZY for a haircut (like ME) DON’T cut your hair or over pluck or shave your brows…WAIT to see the professionals. That’s why we go to them they are the PROfessionals and we can make your hair, skin, nails, lashes and face look fabulous AGAIN.

Instead condition your hair with a hair treatment mask. Great for dehydrated stressed hair.

Finger nails looking rough? Nails cracking? Chipping?

Use a cuticle and nail oil. If you can’t find one at the store grab a bottle of olive oil from your kitchen. Pour into a squeeze bottle and nourish those cuticles and nail beds.

At home most of the time doesn’t mean we can’t enjoy the beauty of a lipstick šŸ’„ or lipgloss. A little kiss of color goes a long way. So swipe away and brighten your mouth and your face!

Hope you enjoyed these tips. We’re all in this together… and we’re all looking and feeling a little frayed around the edges.

Have a beautiful day!

America will look beautiful again!

BANANA Photo

I love bananas and the more unattractive the better!
Just like people …please don’t judge a book or banana by it’s cover. You never know what you will find.

I love to snack on them!
Whip up fresh muffins with these mushy flavorful delights.
Rub elbows and knees with them.
Make hydrating hair masks with bananas!

Here is a skin moisturizing face mask for YOU try this fall. It is fresh, fast and easy to make!
My southern hunk husband loves it too!

I’m Bananas D.I.Y. Face mask

1 tablespoon of honey
1 over ripe banana
1 ripe avocado

*Add a dash of lemon juice so the avocados don’t turn. But it is not necessary.
Mash all of the above and give your skin some LOVE!

Apply it to your face and neck. Skip the eye area but you can apply mask to the lips.

Honey makes it all stick together and helps hold in moisture. The beautiful banana can both hydrate and gently tighten the skin.
Avocados are rich in goodness and hydrating bliss.

Got any left over??? EAT it.

I love to cook, play in my kitchen and do makeup.

What do you do with fresh bananas?
Share a recipe with me.Post a comment. I would LOVE to hear from you.

Chocolate… not just for eating!

CHOCOLATE D.I.Y. Facemask

CHOCOLATE D.I.Y. Facemask

What’s creamy and dreamy and almost as delicious as a Dunkin’ Donut?

This D.I Y. face mask to make your skin feel and look amazing!

Crazy for Chocolate Face Mask

1/3 cup of cocoa powder (from the health food store)
2 TSP HEAVY CREAM
2 TSP honey

Apply this face mask on a clean face and apply with a FAN shaped mask brush or your hands.
Leave on your face for at least 15 minutes at least.Of course do not apply to your eye area…but you can apply a sheer coat on your lips and neck.
Rinse well and moisturize.

There’s something about these ingredients all MAKING whoopie together that make your skin soft and look good.
You will want to lick and eat it…but don’t get a DD chocolate donut OR hot chocolate instead.HE! HE!

Day 30 to beautiful skin …wrap up!

I hope you enjoyed my 30 days to more beautiful skin.
EMBRACE your face. You can’t stop the clock on aging but you can learn to take better care of yourself~

Sunscreen is your BFF… not just your BFF. Apply it daily. Face, NECK, hands and body. Even cloudy days can give you a tan or sunburn.

Do not go to sleep with your makeup on. It MUST be removed. I love the Clarisonic Mia. Don’t fall for the false advertising and hope in a jar. A small dream sonic machine that is today’s washcloth. Using it day and night it helps shed tired old skin, flaky skin, cleans pores, makes pores smaller and helps control the oil. It is my fav’ beauty secret. I even have my husband using it!

Get a skin care check up
and see if you are using the right products for your face. As we age so, it must change. Your pores expand as we mature and gunk accumulates in them. The older you get the more you will have. Keep to a four step easy regime. Antioxidants rich are your skins secret weapons…
Cleanse, Tone, Treat and Protect…twice a day.

Facial serums, retinols and more rock and are all the rage. However, a little moisturizer goes a long way too. YOU DON’T have to use very expensive creams.
FYI even oily skins need moisture~ Hydrate the lips too!

FOR YOUR EYES ONLY…face cream is not an eye cream or gel. Eye creams or gels are made for the eye area. Apply one day and night. Counter clock wise around the eyes and on the eyelid too.

Watch what you eat. Yes, you must eat and nourish your body but do not drive yourself crazy with that word diet. You know that saying, ā€œLive a littleā€ it is OK in moderation for a decadent sweet treat.

As we mature, cell turnover slows and dead skin builds up. Whisk them away like a broom with a facemask or at home natural fruit mask. I love the sweet and amazing pineapple. Mash it up and place on your face for a fruit enzyme lift. Your skin will feel amazing. (Do not use if you are allergic to this fruit)

As we age, our skin gets more sensitive…find what works for you and stick with it too. There are so many products out there. You will find it.

Don’t like your legs but love the no hose fashion?
TRY Liquid Nylons OR jojoba…your legs will look amazing.

Keep Hydrated
and drink, drink, drink…WATER that is. It really helps your body, mind and skin.

Beauty sleep is very important do not skimp. Sprinkle lavender baby powder on your pillows and relax as if you were the fields of Province, France.

Give yourself a ME day…recharge, renew and revitalize.

I hope I have helped you to think about your pretty face and take time to pamper yourself too!Love Yourself!
