Sometimes the best things in life are small!

I love my life in the beauty industry!

I wear many hats in my life in beauty. I so love being a small business owner in America and being the designer of my indie beauty brand. I also am passionate about educating at spa and beauty shows across the country.

BUT my fave thing to do is making women happy that means YOU too!

So, I promised I will share what’s in my mini fridge by Cooluli the 4L classic…that I featured on TV in  my beauty segment on WJXT the other day.

I am a Northern girl who moved to Florida for my husband. But being MADLY IN  LOVE I soon discovered Florida is VERY VERY hot,steamy and humid. Not a winning combination for my hair and skin. I GET REALLY HOT! They say Southern girls don’t sweat they glisten. Well that’s proof I am a Northerner as I sweat. From hair to toe! So, I am always looking for ways to keep cool.

Day 3 Gift Idea for HIM!

Last year I bought my husband a variety of small herb plants and an ivy and placed them in plant pots.  He works on the computer hours at a time. He also likes to cook when he is in the mood. So, my ploy to get him in the kitchen worked for me all year.He not only made us some spa water with fresh rosemary and lemons. He also uses the basil with Italian dishes and pretends be talian. The plants have grown into these eco healthy plants that purify the air from bad things that get in our home and keeps him healthy from all that computer blue light and what rays our tech tools give off.

Bonus they are so beautiful to look at and aromatic too.

So, I highly recommmend if you have’t purchashed a gift for him yet…

Give him a few plants in a beautiful basket,wrap in a cookbook and a small kitchen utensil and spoon or whisk…

Day 2 Gifts for HIM!

Today I wants to share a subscription box that your sweetie will appreciate. Not all guys can SEE themselves in the mirror. They see what they want to see. As with all products we use the more regular they are used,the better. OH so true! As a beauty and skin care therapist I often I OFTEN see and hear how a woman tried an eye or face cream and did not see results, When I probe they say they used it now and then. Well, you can’t see result unless you use ANY beauty and skin care product for awhile. Consistency is key. Even on a diet to lose weight. RIGHT?

Shopping for a a gift for a loved one or friend takes time.

Don’t rush shopping for a gift especially when it is for someone special.Every night I sit by candlelight and this light …A serene salt lamp. I have them all over my home and in my business too. They illuminate to room and create such a calming and pretty ambience and a mood all their own.

A salt lamp has so many beautiful benefits! And healthy ones too.

They purify the air,great to use around electronics and computers,smokers homes and are great for people with allergies. Google them and you’ll find ALL their benefits.

I highly recommend them. They used to cost a bit of money but now have come down in price and also gotten smaller and more portable even to clip in to your computer to brighten up the mood or your work space.

I also think they are kinda sexy and cool.

Give Your Man Some LOVE!

It is almost that time to celebrate DAD…And with that comes the pressure to buy that perfect gift! Just remember it isn’t all about a material gift.

Sometimes its all about the little things.

All you have to do is pucker up and start kissing him.Head to toe…let him know how much you care.

Treat dad to breakfast in bed. Call me crazy but I do this almost daily (depending on my schedule) for my husband.  I bought a bed tray years ago from PIER 1 and it was the best money I ever spent and I got it on sale too!

Go to the drug store,grocery store or the always awesome Whole Foods Market.

Fill a tote or a basket with all things you know he will love and within your budget. They have all you need for that eco-friendly health enthusiast in your life. (My new fave brand for men is OLIVINA MEN). From wine,beer,food to shaving lotion to lip conditioner…this store has what you need.

Get him a shirt he will LOVE…Magna Ready is a unique shirt company you’ve gotta see!

Give dad a a bath. Fill a tub with Epsom salts and add a few drops of  pure essential oil like eucalyptus or peppermint or rosemary. Refreshing. I love the brand called Aura Cacia.

If you can get a baby sitter.escape and take him on a date. Nothing nothing date night. Surprise him and drive to the secret location. A yummy ice cream parlor,a new bar you discovered and more.

Drop him off at Massage Envy after you have prearranged an appointment  for a relaxing and fabulous massage.

Take him out for or make him a tropical cocktail at home and give him a foot massage with olive oil from your kitchen at home while he sips away.

D.I.Y. Make him a beard and mustache oil  that is if he has a mustache or beard. Did you know that hair gets dry and the skin underneath of it needs attention too.

1 ounce of jojoba oil

1/2 ounce of grape seed oil

8 drops of sandalwood essential oil

Combine all of the above and funnel in and place in an antique or medicinal bottle with a dropper if possible.Go ahead and shake this up. Include instructions on a sheet of paper on how to use it.

Use your imagination to make it happen. These are just a few of my ideas to get you going. Oh and of course a hand-made card or a LOVE letter would also be a good idea from you and one from the kids.Times running out!

Pumpkin Pie Holiday

I know you love pumpkin! We cannot seem to get enough of it.

Coffee,beer,muffins,bread,pie and more.So here is another one of my recipes for a my pumpkin pie body scrub in a jar. Pumpkin puree contains beta-carotene and anti-0xidants,brown sugar helps remove dead skin. Olive oil and a vitamin E pill (prick and squeeze out the oil) and OR use oil by the bottle add even more of the moisturizing your skin bliss.

1 can pumpkin puree (you’ll need 1/4 cup) Go for the real thing.

2  cups of brown sugar

2 tsp. olive oil or jojoba

optional:1 tsp. vitamin E oil

1/4 or 1 teaspoon of pumpkin pie spice (this will make the body scrub even more luscious and have the aroma of cinnamon,nutmeg and cloves). I like to sprinkle this on top!

Stir this all together and you will have an amazing scrumptious body scrub and wonderful for your heels too! It is like a pumpkin pie slathered over your body!

I like to make gifts in jelly jars for myself or someone else!

Add a mini spoon,bow,love note and you’re good to go.

Nice stocking stuffer or hostess gift add a pumpkin pie or a bottle of sangria to your gift and who ever you give it to will really love you.
