COOL Summertime Strawberry Soup & more!

strawberry-photo1-mMy Polish side of the family has some delightful recipes this soup is one of them. It is so refreshing in the summertime and while strawberries are in season especially.

What makes it special are these ingredients: (and the Polish FAMILY memories)

1 lb fresh strawberries
1 cup orange juice
1/2 tsp of good quality vanilla extract
2 cups of vanilla Greek yogurt
*whipped cream
*fresh mint leaves

Clean and hull strawberries and place in a blender, combine the rest of the ingredients except whipped cream and mint.Blend until smooth.
CHILL for a few hours or overnight.Serve in pretty bowls and top with dollop of whip cream and garnish with a few mint leaves.

Yummy, creamy and dreamy taste of a recipe from Poland. My mom would be proud I still keep close in my heart and continue these traditions.

Do you have a YUMMY or unique recipe you’d like to share with me?
I’d LOVE to hear from you!

*Yummy photo from the website Cool Photo Projects.

While strawberries are still in season, you might also want to enjoy my recipe for a Refreshing Strawberry Face MASK for your skin.

Here’s what you’ll need:

8 fresh strawberries
2 tablespoons of local honey

Mash the strawberries with a spoon and add in the honey. This will make a fruity honey filled face mask. The strawberries contain Vitamin C and alpha-hydroxy acids that exfoliate the skin gently in a natural way.
If your skin is looking dull, tired, sun damaged or prone to a blemish you will LOVE what this mask does for your skin.

Leave on your face for at least fifteen minutes and rinse with luke warm water and a wash cloth.Follow with your moisturizer and eye gel.
They say that Hollywood Celebrities like Catherine Zeta Jones use strawberries in their beauty rituals.
This fresh mask will last up to a week in an airtight container. I prefer to store in glass NOT plastic container.

*As I have mentioned before always do a spot test on the side of your cheek or neck to see if you are allergic to any of these ingredients. If you know you are do not use this recipe.

Get cooking and enjoy these two delicious delights one for your body and one for your face. YUM!

TAN like the celebrities do!

tan on the go cartoon girl

I love easy. I love not sweating on the beach, say no to lobster face and I love a golden glow sometimes!
But as a skin therapist and beauty expert it is a no no to BAKE like banana nut bread.
So, I love the healthier alternative for tanning beauty. The latest trends in summer skin are pretty much classic either by tanning towels, lotions or the creme de la creme of self tanning like they do on Dancing with the Stars…an air brushed spray tan.

MOST celebrities do it as their beauty secret before they walk down any red carpet…you can too.
Google away and find someone in your city.

Jimmy Coco is the spray tan king in Hollywood. But if you can’t get to LA I have found the man in Jacksonville! TAN on the Go Mobile who comes to your door.A handsome man with a tan or one of his team can make your tan skin dreams come true.
Cost $45.00 and up in the Jacksonville, Florida area for a healthy looking buff body tan.I know you all don’t live in this area but you can find someone in your neighborhood to give you a faux glow too. Takes about 4 to 5 mins. for them to apply it and it lasts about a week on your skin.Call Mark at 904-537-7387 for your Buy two get one free mobile tanning services as mentioned on channel 4 today. Offer expires soon.

NOT for ladies only…Guys will love it too!

A better way to wrinkle less and a way to make your body look more toned, well rested light golden complexion, cover spider veins, red splotches, vericose veins and body blemishes.A spray tan hides a multiple of sins that you may not like about your body without going to confession.

Say “Hello to Gorgeous and Handsome!”
Get out your sunglasses, tan smart and safely and ready to flaunt the star you are. It is that time of year again…sweet sunny summer time!

Red Hot on the red carpet!

The Academy Awards showered us with a sea of faces and fashion….but the makeup is what I love!

The strapless gowns, sparkle, shimmer, jewels and oh so much more.

Makeup is confidence you apply to the face! The celebrities makeup artist’s know this and painted a beautiful face.
Lush bold or champagne gold glossy lips all lit up their faces.

I so loved the red lips of Adele, shiny champagne like gloss of Jennifer Aniston, the non sun-baked healthy looking skin of Jessica Chastain, the smoldery eyes of Sandra Bullock.

Salma Hayek’s hair was sky-high pulled back glam! Reese’s hair was Hollywood oh so shiny and wavy glam at its finest.

Jennifer Lawrence who of course won an Oscar is one young talented down to earth star. She looked amazing from head to toe.
Heidi Klume who did not even attend the Oscars but did attend the parties was the FULL package of sexy beauty from head to toe~ Who says mom’s have to look plain and mommy like!

The celebrities estheticians no doubt…gave awesome oxygen, diamond, toning and other type facials. Their body was wrapped with products from the sea to make their bodies even more sexy and tummies flatter.Their skin was satin-smooth and had a glistening glow.

Some celebrities faces missed the makeup artist’s powder puff when it came their time to shine.THEY SHINED way too much!
Whose face and hair did you love?

PINK-A-BOO beautiful~

I’m sitting pretty and my brows have a lift …All thanks to PINK-A-BOO pencil by the Eyebrow King DAMONE ROBERTS!

My Beverly Hills brow stylist and his magical pencil I just had to have~

Did you happen to catch him on Good Morning America THIS morning?

Old Hollywood Glamour spot

Formosa Cafe an old Hollywood place serving stars since 1925. The bartender and waitresses are a delight. The FOOD is divine, the decor red and black with an Asian twist. HAPPY HOUR is the right time to go. Drinks are great prices and most of the appetizers are only $4.00. This is what we enjoyed. Alongside a cold beer for him and champagne sipping for me. The ribs~ MANLY portions fit for a Hollywood royalty. Autographed pictures adorn the walls of this retro place. Gotta try it!

While we went in the late afternoon…and did not see a celebrity. They say that at night celeb’s stop by after a night on the town or to eat after a long day of shooting a movie.

You never know what celebrities you might bump into.

Life is a box of yummy chocolates~Taste it!

I am enjoying one bite at a time. Are you?
