Ancient Chinese Beauty…

I am an all American girl that happens to be Eurasian and my husband says I am a Combination Platter off the Chinese Take Out Menu. People ALWAYS ask me what is my nationality. Even more when I moved from up North to sunny Florida. When I moved here for my husband I was so in love ❤️ I forgave Florida for the HOT 🥵 temperatures and the horrific humidity. But as time went by I came to the conclusion I hate the heat and my makeup melting. I also noticed brides and bridal parties hated it too. So, I pulled out my little box of love for my complexion and made them look amazing. This box is my makeup savior and go to. I have used it on my face since I was a teen and now on my clients for TV work, red carpet beauty moments, photo shoots and for my brides and bridal parties. I use it on men too!

It is an Ancient Chinese Beauty secret handed down from generation to generation.

What is it?

A white looking brownie (yes like the Brownie we eat). It is a hard cake that becomes loose when stroked and applied with a Kabuki powder brush.

Vegan LOVE

Gluten Free COOKIES!

I so LOVE CANDY…That is why I named my blog Beauty Candy. I also love a good cookie. A friend of mine shared this recipe with me and I am going to make them as soon as I get the three easy ingredients. I have been on the road for beauty so much I am starving my husband according to him as I have not grocery shopped much lately. He eats sardines and clam sauce pasta as meals when I travel. Kinda crazy!

So, I am going to make him so home-cooked meals and cookies!

1 egg

1 cup of sugar

1 cup of peanut butter (substitute almond butter for peanut if you want)

Pre-heat oven 375 F.

Grease a cookie sheet.

Place in a bowl all of the above. Drop with a cookie scoop little rounds. Flatten with a fork. Bake 10 to 12 minutes until a slight golden look and center settles in.

Cool cookies on wire rack.

She said before she knew it they were all gone and so was a gallon of milk. Yum!

Hurricane comfort!

Going stir crazy!!! Been indoors for 24 hours.

The palm trees are doing more than swaying,gray and ugly looking outside and the rain is pounding on our house. We are in the middle of hurricane Matthew! Wish I could take a photo but don’t dare step out of our house. We usually lose electricity in our area of Jacksonville Florida when there are tropical storms and hurricanes but by the grace of God we have lights and AC and the other comforts we all have grown to love and take for granted. Kind scary.

Very stressful! I have eaten all the good healthy food and now unto potato chips,circus peanut candy and ginger snap cookies!

MY thighs are gonna rise after this storm. He! He! I am in my kitchen and discovered a recipe card I got from an event I attended. I just made this for my husband and I know he is going to flip when he wakes up from a hurricane nap. It was so delicious…my lips told me.

 

This shake is SO delicious and EASY to make!

1 cup of low fat chocolate milk

1 ripe frozen banana

2 Tbsp. creamy peanut butter of your choice

Blend above and you’ll have a creamy,dreamy,decadent delight!

To my husband I will be a rock star in my kitchen (because of this DRINK recipe)and you can be too! But you don’t need a husband or beau to enjoy this LUSCIOUS drink!

Peter Max kissed me!

Today at the TV station I was doing a segment on all things Chocolate Beauty and having a Girls night In or a spa night with your sweetie.

While setting up my DIY yourself spa treats I heard a familiar voice over my shoulder. I have a GREAT memory for voices and accents too. It was a man with a northern accent. Being from NYC and NJ this accent warms my soul and reminds me of home.He asked me what was I doing and what were all the things. I was so focused on what I was doing I did not turn around but answered his questions. He told me he loves chocolate.

When I was all done…I tied my apron on and saw a familiar face to go with the voice.It was the next guest for the show had arrived and he too was waiting his turn. Then the camera crew started setting up some GORGEOUS,colorful paintings and it all came together to me. PETER MAX the world-renowned artist was in front of me!!!

Before I did anything else I put my hand on my heart and said I thought that was YOU and your soothing voice too”. He smiled and cupped my cheeks in his hands and kissed me! YES, he kissed me not once but bunches and with a happy smile on his face. Did I mind? NO, they came so quick and from a man who appeared so kind and romantic.

Something we definitely see in his artwork! I have always been a fan.

I asked if I could take a photo of him. He posed perfect and then he was up to go on set and be interviewed.

After his interview on his guest appearance/event at the Ponte Vedra Cultural Center he was ready to leave. The news crew had put my microphone on and I had to go LIVE in seconds.No time to say a proper goodbye.So across the studio on a commercial break I whispered with a loud voice…”Goodbye,Mr.Max”. He immediately turned around and blew me some air KISSES with his hands.

LOVE was and is in the air today and my ST. Valentine’s Day started in the most fabulous way!!!

There are ALL kinds of love.Husband and wife love,BFF love d the love of your family and children love. But this kind of stranger love winked at me today in its own special way. I embraced this life moment and happy I MADE HIM SMILE.

There is a beautiful saying I am not sure who said it and if I am completely writing it right.

Peter Max made me feel fabulous and special today in his own quiet way!!! I only regret not having the time to take a photo with him today.

I may never wash my cheeks again.

Friday Night Beauty

I love bananas and the more unattractive the better!
Just like people …please don’t judge a book or banana by it’s cover.You never know what you will find.

I love to snack on them!
Whip up fresh muffins with these mushy flavorful delights.
Rub elbows and knees with them.
Make hydrating hair masks with bananas!

Here is a skin moisturizing face mask for YOU try this fall. It is fresh,fast and easy to make!
My southern hunk husband loves it too!

I’m Bananas D.I.Y. Face mask

1 tablespoon of honey
1 over ripe banana
1 ripe avocado

*Add a dash of lemon juice so the avocados don’t turn.But it is not necessary.
Mash all of the above and give your skin some LOVE!

Apply it to your face and neck. Skip the eye area but you can apply mask to the lips.

Honey makes it all stick together and helps hold in moisture. The beautiful banana can both hydrate and gently tighten the skin.
Avocados are rich in goodness and hydrating bliss.
