Stylists,makeup artists,nail techs,estheticians and beauty business owners from all over the world will flock to the ever popular International Beauty Show and the International Esthetics Cosmetics & Spa Conference.

But now … Counting down with hope to a fabulous and fun time. June is coming soon.

I’ll be BEAUTY reporting from there and sharing with you ALL THAT I SEE. It’s going to be a bumpy exciting out of the park ride! Hair beauty shows are not like peaceful spa shows. They have a mood and vibe all of their own and have seen some unique hair and makeup Pro’s. Some of them wear just as much makeup as you and I do and their men! If I bump into any you need to know about.

I LOVE ❤️ Las Vegas and if you haven’t been maybe now’s the time to add it to your list of places to go when we can all travel without a care! So much to see and the eye candy is mostly FREE. SO MANY PLACES TO EXPLORE. Good and club life is non- stop. Hotels to die for! Amazing views! All waiting for me and you. Minutes from the desert 🌵 Red Rock Canyon and a few hours car ride to California.

I can’t wait to shop the IECSC show floor! And see the latest and greatest in skincare,makeup and more! If you’re a beauty pro, spa or salon you gotta go!

Attention Beauty Pro’s

Are you in the beauty business and attending the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa show or International Beauty Shows? They happen once a year in the one and only glorious New York City. This year they happen in March.

If you’re not or haven’t been… You’re missing out on an awesome spa show and a hair show with some fabulous educators. That includes me and my colleague and friend James Vincent. You may have seen him educate from a hot show called The Makeup Show based in NYC.

We are offering two different classes! You might want to get your ticket for BOTH Makeup Classes.

My class is all about MAKEUP and makeup artist beauty secrets will be shared. Why your salon or spa should consider having makeup available. Why carry carry makeup? What lines to consider? How to demo it,promote it and so much more!

James class is all about TRENDS in 2019. You gotta keep up with what is happening now and in our industry. James not only lives in NYC he travels the globe and has the pulse on what is trending.

Both of our classes are fast paced and fun. But of course inspirational and will get you all fired up as a make-up artist or esthetcian (Skin Care Therapist) who does makeup or wants to do makeup.

The shows are so exciting and spectacular and only for beauty schools,the beauty professional or beauty business owner. I hope you consider attending this year.

For my blog followers or new to my blog guests who aren’t in the industry …Just an FYI I will be reporting from the show floor and will show you all that’s happening in the world of hair,skin and nails. I’ll also post on food,shopping and NYC fun.

Beauty,Beauty and more beauty in the Big Apple!

A week ago I escaped the blizzard and traveled to NYC for work and play. I was bound and determined not to let the cold weather get in my way.I arrived safe by Delta Airlines and landed almost an hour sooner than scheduled. The sun was shining gloriously and the weather was awesome in the 60’s. I checked in to my first hotel and quickly had attend to refresh and go to two planned beauty events. I  discovered new beauty products to show on my beauty and lifestyle segment on NBC12- TV. I also love to see what I would like to enjoy and add to my own beauty routine. My first stop was at a loft terrace in a sun-drenched  huge room. I sipped champagne,noshed on yummy treats and explored what’s hot a new.The best part besides the awesome products I saw. They served up COTTON CANDY fresh from an old time machine! How cool was that! I love cotton candy in its soft rainbow fluffy hues of sweetness.More to come in another post on the products I enjoyed and fell in love with.

Next stop I hustled in a cab to the event of the year. It happens once a year. NYC beauty editors,cosmetics executives and anyone who is anyone in beauty attend the Cosmetic Exec Women event. We sniff,touch,smell,play and test drive NEW beauty launches from the past 12 months.After we do this we vote after testing some more brands at home.There are many categories. Makeup,Hair,Skin,Nails,Fragrance,Male Grooming,Beauty Tools nail polish and so much more.It is a exciting packed party of wall to wall women.Each year is different. This year QVC was offering makeup applications and even gave us a cosmetic bag.Hair was being styled and more.And did I mention they had cupcakes and cocktails?

After the tabulations are all in brands receive an Academy award of beauty no not a gold statue but winning  is the most coveted accolade you want by a beauty brand. My swag weighed in at 12 lbs.Two fast and furious hours of a really packed pavilion.

The next day while the weather was still in the 60’s I had a few business meetings but made time to go downtown for Chinese Brunch called DIM SUM at one of my fav’ places in Chinatown section of NYC. The Joy Luck Palace. I was seated with two women and two of their nurses who took them o the city for an outing. They were from Hong Kong and 95 and 99 years young.So fun to watch the friendship between the two ladies. The older one was a fashionista dripping in jade jewelry.The two ladies did not speak English but I understood the language of their smiles,facial expressions,laughter and appearance.Women push carts filled with hot Chinese food from soup to dumplings to chicken feet.

My fave’ Dim Sum was 3  little piggies sitting in the bamboo steamer looking at me! They were meant for the end of the meal. A warm fluffy dough filled with a creme brulle kind of cream and it also reminded me of the yummiest vanilla pudding.The Chef’s  here make the best tiny bites of love.If you have never tried or enjoyed dim sum you must find a place to dine in your travels.

Did I mention I got caught in the first flurry of snow and slush and had not packed any boots? MY husband told me I wouldn’t need them.Note to self…never not pack your boots with all your other needed winter gear.

Window shopping is the best shopping! I window shopped all the hot stores like Bloomingdales,Macy’s and Bendel’s and more. I used to live here and really miss having this city at my feet on a daily basis.But I also shopped the fashion district too and discovered some amazing fabrics. So inspiring.Even stopping by candy stores and food stands gives me yummy inspiration since I so love candy and beauty too.

I took some time for at my fav’ places for a mani,pedi and facial too.And I discovered some more places to shop and play for K beauty too.

Oh and I went to the International Beauty Show and guest spoke at the International Esthetics,Cosmetics and Spa show. The show floor was filled with the latest and greatest in the world of beauty. Then came the SNOW.Thank goodness I was already booked on a flight the day before the storm.

Biting into that juicy apple …NEW YORK,NEW YORK!

I LOVE NEW YORK….Don’t you?

Counting down to a fabulous time!

I’m so looking forward to guest speaking,shopping the show floor,seeing my beauty pro friends,meeting new people and more! It is such an honor to be asked to educate at this show! I have meetings with many VIPS and going to take in all the show has to offer. alongside this show is the International Hair Show…can’t wait to explore that show floor and sit in on some hair classes too.If you are a PRO and attending the show…come by my class and say “Hello!”

Before and after long show days will be spent to shop til I drop and eat my way through the city~ Don’t laugh but I cannot wait to bite into a hot bagel with cream cheese toasted,hot dog from a street vendor and devour street food in Chinatown and throughout NYC.I see there is a new yummy popcorn Food truck can’t wait to taste!

New York is the city that never sleeps and I will not rest much either.There is no place like being back home and working there too!

I LOVE to work and play in Las Vegas!

Back again last weekend for the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conference as well as the International Beauty Show.  Two fabulous shows one for beauty industry professionals like makeup artists,skin care professionals ,spas and plastic surgery clinics. The other IBS is loved by hairstylists,nail techs and makeup artists.

So good to connect with businesses,explore the show floor and lecture. My two topics were “What a Bride Wants” and “Model and Fashion Week Beauty Secrets.”

Someday soon I will post them and will share them ALL with you too!

They had a cool down in the weather instead of the 122 degrees they’ve been having… it was only 112 degrees.Lol…it was tough! I played on the LV strip, I got a mani & pedi,shoulder & back massage,got a deep cleansing facial and foot spa experience all on the show floor. I sampled,touched,sniffed,rubbed and tested many of the new products in beauty.

I shopped till I really dropped…lots of  work and YET so much fun!

Gotta get caught up and rest up and reboot my body. It is exhausting and travel today is even more so. I had two flight issues one with airplane problems and one with delays that were weather related.Happy to leave and enjoyed all that LV had to offer and happy to get back to my husband and to chill.

Beauty landed in New York City

It was showtime for the International Esthetics,Cosmetics and Spa Show as well as the International Beauty Show. March 9th,10th and 11th.

I guest spoke and beauty reported LIVE from the show floor!Anyone who is anyone in the world of hair,skin and nails was exhibiting there.Attendees are professionals who come from around the world to learn,buy for their salons and spas and of course PLAY!

I was Tweeting and on Instagram sharing all the edible and shopping fun on the streets of NYC. NEW YORK CITY is an inspiring city,breathtaking and where dreams are made.

BABY it is cold outside from 20 degrees to 66 and now snow and cold again. It is a bumpy winter ride.

It was raining all things Beauty in LAS VEGAS this past weekend!

Three glorious days of the International Esthetics, Cosmetics and Spa Conference and the International Beauty Shows

BEAUTY and Hair had an anything goes kind of feel.There are no rules!
Color was all around….From hair tints to nails to makeup.Nails are making a BIG statement and OPI and Young Nails had everything you need to paint your toes red and more.Gold, silver sparkled on the show floor.

ALL things for prettier skin filled one entire kingdom on the show floor.

I as well as the show guests were like kids in a candy store. AMAZING and fun.Martin Parsons rocked the stage with his hair cut and styling magic.

I guest spoke and was THRILLED to see the packed classroom of attendees. I love what I do and happy to share all my beauty words of business wisdom and beauty secrets for bridal makeup too.

Now,the show over,our booth packed and shipped back and time for relaxation.
I practice what I preach. Time for a dip in the pool and a visit to the SPA. Stay tuned for more.

The greatest shows on earth!

I have packed my all things beauty bags and am ready for my business trip to NEW YORK. Life is good when you are asked to lecture at beauty shows all over the country.
I am sorry I have not had much time to post. I have been up to my pink lips with work and getting beautified to look good at the show. The only thing bad about guest speaking or attending a beauty show is…you HAVE TO look your best. People will notice if your hair is not freshly cut, your skin is looking dull or your makeup is last years look. This is even more important for Educators/makeup artists like me.

Every Spring New York City gets even prettier when beauty professionals and beauty business owners from all over the world attend the IBS and IECSC shows New York Shows.
If you’re anybody in beauty and care enough about your business …you go! It only happens once a year and it is simply fabulous!

I’ll give you a peek on the show floor daily and share with you what’s new in beauty too! I’ll tell you about classes I myself attend and share with you new makeup,hair and nail trends.
