Oh Allure magazine I can’t seem to throw you away!

My husband calls my magazines junk I call you ALLURE  my beauty bible, research, fun and more!

He really doesn’t have anything against the magazines might I add NEATLY stacked on my bedroom and makeup studio floors…he simply wants me to enjoy them via an iPad and not hard copy.

Call me old fashion girl !  I LOVE turning those pages and the smell of the paper pages. You can’t get that on an iPad.I even love to share and recycle them too. Knowledge is power …Right?

I just don’t understand why he wants to rain on my love for magazines parade.

Do you?

The other day I was cleaning and rearranging my walk in closet and discovered a stack of magazines I saved. Vogue and more. My fave find was the first few editions of ALLURE. Look closely it is from July 1991. The magazine started by Linda Wells as the first of it’s kind arrived on the newsstands and into my heart in March 1991.Allure is not even found in this size and print. It is much smaller and like the usual size of  magazines nowadays. He thinks I should throw them out. I have covered them in tissue paper, placed them in plastic and stored them in my closet where he won’t be able to bother them. Nor have to look at them.

As a girl,a professional makeup artist, skin therapist and beauty business owner I so LOVE my BEAUTY FILLED Allure magazine!

Yes I so LOVE my Allure. What’s not to love and explore every month?

What are YOUR thoughts?

Before and after long show days will be spent to shop til I drop and eat my way through the city~ Don’t laugh but I cannot wait to bite into a hot bagel with cream cheese toasted, hot dog from a street vendor and devour street food in Chinatown and throughout NYC.I see there is a new yummy popcorn Food truck can’t wait to taste!

New York is the city that never sleeps and I will not rest much either. There is no place like being back home and working there too!

Very interesting facts on ingredients in all things Beauty!

I couldn’t have said it any better. Read on.

If there’s one thing beauty lovers know (and, who are we kidding—beauty lovers know approximately everything), it’s that there are huge (like, Grand-Canyon-levels huge) discrepancies between American beauty products and foreign beauty products—specifically, the vast number of ingredients allowed in US formulations compared to the incredibly restricted formulations of beauty products overseas. VIVA Las Vegas again!

It is that fabulous time again for me to guest speak at another spa conference. Professionals from all over the world will fly and flock to the Las Vegas Convention Center. It’s HOT ,its work but exciting and fun.

I am going to TRY and post more from the show and even do a few videos from my walk down Beauty Avenue and Skin Streets. I will be guest speaking two classes one on Celebrity Skin Care and another class on MAKEUP.

You know I live and breathe makeup!

I can hardly wait to meet and see them work their magic…the BEST hair stylists that rock hair and some as seen on The Real Housewives of Atlanta.

I also look forward to seeing the latest and greatest in nails. Nails are a huge market that is on fire.

This year there will be an All Things Tanning Show…while I am a skin cancer survivor I don’t promote a tanning bed. I am excited to see what new products we will use to get a glorious healthy looking tan without the HOT sun’s rays damage.

I am so happy more of you are following me and sending messages to me and so happy you have become a fan of my blog. I know I don’t post all the time as my business and guest speaking and hubby are my priority.

YOU and my Beauty Candy Blog are special to me too.

So stay tuned and come back this weekend. I promise it will be interesting and worth your while.
