This powerhouse recipe is for glowing skin and energy!

What you will need for this recipe:

1 cup of pineapple fresh is best but canned will work in a pinch

1 cup of fresh spinach

2 or 3 carrots

1 cucumber

2 slices of fresh ginger

1 1/2 cups of bottled water

Blend all of the above together and pour into pretty glasses and ENJOY!

Or fill your To Go cup and go start your day.

Garnish as you wish. I’ve used mint leaves, lemons, kiwi and kale.

I prefer this juice in the morning or at lunch. It really gets me going and my skin glowing!

PS

If you are allergic to or not fond of spinach you can use another green fruit or veggie to substitute but following this recipe is best! Shelf life 24 hours.

Can’t get enough of this drink!

I am so in love with coconut and pineapple juice. I use coconut flakes to exfoliate my lips with a dash of coconut oil.

I also love the refreshing thrill of 🥥 coconut water!

Pineapple 🍍 juice and fresh slices (Which I love to give myself a facial with). Float my boat!

So, now I am sharing a yummy tropical 🌴 like drink (not boozed up) with you that you can serve to your family too.

All you need is a large can of Dole pineapple juice.

And a bottle of Coconut Sparkling soda down the grocery store aisle.

I like to serve it in a fresh coconut shell. But you can serve it in a glass.

Makes a delightful PUNCH!

Treat yo’self, make this (so cheap) delightful drink 🍹 and have an awesome weekend!

 PS

Add dark rum and you have another delicious 😋 boozy delight!

Blackheads are rearing their ugly heads…

Once they come to the surface. That is why they call them blackheads the dreaded  clogged pore!

Sometimes blackheads come from an over worked sebaceous gland. Not washing your face good enough at night and more.

Here is my go to D.I.Y. recipe for telling them goodbye!

2 teaspoons of cornmeal (I grind it fine in my coffee grinder)

1 teaspoon of Chinese or any other clay mask powder

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

2 teaspoons of plain yogurt (I prefer Greek)

bottle container cream creamy

Mix all of the above in a bowl. Let it rest. The cornmeal will get creamy and the clay will soften together. Stir and apply the mix on a wet face that you FIRST splashed with water. Apply to your face with a clean MASK brush or your fingers. Stay away from your eye area. I like to focus my attention to the T-zone or wear there may be a stubborn blackhead. Rinse with warm water and your fav’ cleanser and rinse again.

Your face will look better, skin tighter and the blackhead be gone (fingers crossed).

Do you have a mask or scrub you use that you’d like to share with me? I would LOVE to hear from you.

My beauty and lifestyle blog is a two sided relationship!

😍

PS

I like to keep all kinds of spices, sugars, flours and cormeal at my fingertips in my pantry for beauty.

1 1/2 cups of unfiltered apple juice

1 medium raw beet, chopped, steamed or baked (if using a conventiocal blender)

1 medium carrot, chopped, steamed or grated (if using a conventional blender)

2 medium lemons,peeled and seeded

1 cup loosely packed chard leaves

1 teaspoon minced ginger

1 cup of frozen mango

Throw all of the ingredients(except the frozen mango) into your blender and blast on high for about 1 minute, until well combined. Add the frozen mango and balst ffor 10 to 20 seconds more, until smooth and creamy.

This vegetable-packed blend is surprisingly delicious according to Tess the author. She recommends you definitely add the mint. The betatine in beets flushes the liver, purifies the blood, and enhances circulation;carrots boost the liver’s anti-oxidant capacity and the lemons improve liver function. Chard provides syringic acid,a flavonoid that prevenst liver degeneration, and mango and ginger have liver-protecting properties, too.

I read if we partake of libations it is tough on the liver…so since I enjoy a glass of wine with my dinner meal…I tought this recipe for me is ideal. I have played with this recipe and added other ingredients. BUT I prefer HER recipe the best!

Grapefruit and Green Tea Toner

>grapefruit-photo3-l

As you may know I love to cook up things in my kitchen that aren’t just food for my family.
These recipes also include beauty for your face. Here is a recipe to make a cool and refreshing skin toner for your face.I also love to use it on a flat cotton pad down my neck and decolette.

1/4 cup witch hazel
1/4 cup fresh grapefruit juice
1/4 cup of fresh brewed organic green tea (room temperature)

Get all your ingredients together and line them up.Next brew some fresh green tea. Let tea cool on counter and fill the ingredients into a spray bottle.(4 oz. size does quite nicely).
*This toner can safely be kept in the frig for up to eight weeks may be less.
I LOVE to chill my toner in the frig or you may keep on your bathroom shelf.
Spray this D.I.Y. toner on a flat cotton pad and use all over your face.Exclude the eye area.

Vitamin C is the beauty ingredient from the grapefruit juice. It brightens and tones the skin.
Witch hazel is a mild astringent that removes excess oil, dirt and makeup. It also makes your pores appear smaller.

I love to cook and whip up beauty in my kitchen…you will too!

Take some time one day and try my recipes and have some fun too!
