Las Vegas IS always fabulous!

Been so busy since I came back from Las Vegas I finally had a moment to tell you about my beauty filled and foodie trip. I got to go with my sweetie so that’s always good. It wasn’t as hot this year as it usally is in the 100 degree and more mark. I never get tired of Las Vegas and go a few times a year.

I guest spoke at the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conference.

My class went well and I love the eager to learn audience of makeup artists, estheticans, plastic surgeons and Boss Babes.IMG_5302

I enjoyed and sat in on some other classes TO LEARN too but my fave part of any beauty conference is always  discovering what is on the show floor! Shopped til I dropped. I discovered a few new brands and tools I will share with you in the next few blog posts too.

Healthier Looking SKIN is still in! And so are all kinds of beauty devices and facial tools for anti-aging but they are sold to beauty professionals in the spa or plastic surgeons and dermatologists offices. Where they need to be. I think sometimes these at home machines and pro devices are best used by the PROFESSIONAL. Putting the wrong device in the consumers hands can harm you especially if you don’t know what you are doing.

💄 Makeup is sparkling with all things glam and glitter.

I enjoyed my usual foodie spots for food away from the strip where the locals like to go. And at the top of that food list is the infamous In & Out Burger and animal fries too!

I stayed on an extra day to RELAX  and to join Las Vegas Now’s  host Courtney Perna again. So happy to join her again as she’s always fun to work with and quite a show host… loaded with personality! This time my segment was  Asian Beauty Secrets Revealed. Having just been to Korea and China I had a few unique things to share with their TV viewers. The best part of the segment was rolling an Asian Skin Smoothing and Relaxing face roller with her for fun on Boomerang.IMG_5450

This cool little tool is still on a roll in China and now the USA. Using it is so cool and refreshing and the beauty benefits surely beats a face lift… any day!

Asian Royalty used it for centuries now it has made it to main stream from China. Great for those of you who love all things anti-aging. Revs up circulation and they do so much.

Have you ever seen unusual fruit at an Asian market and wondered what they are?

Dragon fruit and Durian are delightful to eat or add in a smoothie for younger looking skin and overall good health. Don’t be afraid to explore what’s not familiar to you and taste what you never tried before.

Asian women I interviewed on the streets of Hong Kong also shared with me that infamous Pearl Powder. Sold by the box in little vials you almost think you are buying something white powdery and illegal. But it is not. It is a powder when mixed with water makes an amazing skin brightening and tightening face mask. The women use this beauty find that is handed down from generations.

Wishing  I were back in the Orient I had a craving for Dim Sum (Chinese Brunch) that is in some places served all day. I adore the owner, staff and food at Orchids Garden. So, authentic and delightful! About 8 MINUTES from the Las Vegas strip. They serve it on hot oven carts. So delicious and you won’t break the bank.DIM SUM IMG_5278

Shopping in Las Vegas is always fun. You can shop on the strip or go out and drive half an hour to an outlet mall called in Prim. They have a Tommy Bahama Outlet my husband so loves. I enjoy the H & M outlet and other discount shops.

By the airport there is also fabulous shopping experience (not just on the strip) and since I am addicted to all things containers and tidying up… The Container Store is also there! I don’t have one in my city so I try and shop one when I travel. After you’re done stop at the center and have a cocktail or go to grab a bite at The Lazy Dog restaurant. The first time I ever had sweet potato tater tots. Everything made from scratch and from the farm! Food …so fresh.

And by the way, if you’re into cannabis. They have licensed recreational dispensaries there now. It is legal.

Next time you travel ✈️ to Las Vegas check out some of these spots. You don’t need a ton of money or gamble to enjoy Las Vegas. I can’t wait to go back in a few months.

I’ve always had a beautiful experience!

Next Beauty Stop?

Hello MY Peeps!

photo ,PEEPS

Happy Spring, a Beautiful Passover and Happy Easter!

Thought you’d like this awesome photo of  YUMMINESS  from one of my fave’ places in NYC…Black Tap Craft Burgers and Brew. You’ll find them on Instagram and in several locations in NYC. And now viva LAS VEGAS! I so love candy and food!

This is a color filled CANDY  blinged out wild cherry milk shake from NYC.  If you can go get one do it by April 1st as they are a limited holiday edition. But if you don’t live near or not able to travel there…have no fear they make awesome shakes like this all year long. Along with delicious burgers and beer!

You know I LOVE all things makeup but I love this crazy shake and PEEPS even more!

Thank You for reading and following my blog. I LOVE all my Peeps and look forward to getting to know and engage with all of you more.

DON’T YA WANNA…. Lick and sip the screen? What a beauty!

What I saw,ate and did in Las Vegas!

photo.JPG friesI love Las Vegas. It is a beautiful and fun city. And the best part like New York it has so much FREE eye candy for you to enjoy. You don’t have to spend all your time on the Strip either!

My last post I told you I was going there to guest speak at the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa conference. This year the show was better than ever!Alongside the show is a full pavilion called the International Beauty Show. Both are shows if you are in the business of beauty and a licensed beauty professional you do not want to miss. This year we got an extra bonus…The Comic Con show was there. I saw all kinds of characters. From devils to Winnie the Poo to sexy sirens. In 113 to 117 degrees I admired the passion for the world of comic books.

Trends come and go but the biggest trend I continue to see and grow is the look of healthy skin and  the care of the skin.I tried all kinds of lotions, potions, hydrated by a new sheet mask  by the ever popular Image Skincare and skin feeling softer and loved. The ever popular Savvy Sleepers pillowcase rocks your skin with anti-aging smooth benefits. Protects your skin from more wrinkles and saves your hair and extends expensive blowouts all while you sleep. Especially from the aromatherapy spa product aisle. The smell of lavender, peppermint and more filled the show floor.

Another trend that continues to rise is COLOR.It was everywhere on the faces of makeup artists in my classes and on the show floor and at makeup booths. HAIR was colorful too. I saw all the colors of the rainbow kinda hair. It was AMAZING. My fave’ were the luscious world of lipsticks and glosses. Aqua, pink, coral, yellow, purple lipsticks are so on trend and sure to make you happy hues.Let’s not forget that nail polish continues to be in all shades to tempt you. I LOVE the fact that our world has become so color filled. Remember when our beauty world only offered safe colors like soft pink, pearly white and beige. How about when our blow dryers only came in boring gray? Well no more.

My classrooms were filled with eager to learn beauty professionals, spa and salon owners.I love what I do and travel too. After the show I was STARVING and needed to hydrate up and had to stop to my fave place for a for a burger and fries. Smothered in yum and made in the kitchen with LOVE. And a sip one of their shakes…Pink Strawberry. You know how I love pink!

I like to venture away from the strip where the locals who live there go. Not all your meals have to be in swanky expensive  I enjoyed the ever fabulous In and Out Burger where I ordered off their secret menu…ANIMAL style Fries ( see photo)

I also enjoyed exotic  meals from Orchids Garden where they serve ALL DAY Dim Sum! If you haven’t had is Chinese Brunch. The food is so fresh and the staff there is so friendly. Save some room as you might also want to try the coconut bun which is dessert that is perfect with a hot cup of jasmine or green tea.

Who doesn’t LOVE to shop? While I like the SHOPPING on the strip I also like to head to PRIMM at the outlet mall. They have some fabulous shops like Tommy Bahama,Charlotte Rousse,Coach and more.

ALL at fabulous DISCOUNT $$$$$$ prices …You won’t find on the strip.

I bought some Tommy Bahama tops and bathing suit for my husband. Gorgeous bracelets for me,sandals, perfume and a few LV souvenir gifts all for $197.00

So, I hope you enjoyed a peek inside my classrooms, the beauty and the hair shows and see what’s on trend. If you haven’t been to Las Vegas add it to your list!

Travel and explore my darlings and eat up all that life has to offer!!!

Vegas Baby!

I am so ready to paint the town pink!cropped-noreen-2015-headshot.jpg

It is that time of  year and I am so excited to guest speak again at the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa show in beautiful Las Vegas! It is not only a fun city it is home to so many of my fav’ foodie spots!

I will be working, exploring and shopping the show floor for the latest and greatest in beauty and skin! I love this show! It is THE BEST!

I also can’t wait to go to the strip and partake in some eye candy as these casinos offer so much. While I do not gamble I do love everything else!

It is going to be 117 average temperature and while they call it a dry heat. I call it HOT AS HELL heat just like Florida.I still sweat!

I might even take in one of the hot spas if I have time as these spots are so divine! So, I will be bringing you the best in beauty from one who craves all things beauty and who is a foodie.

I will miss my husband but so look forward to sharing with you my travel and fun finds!

A Makeup artist’s …MUST HAVE!

On movie sets,TV shows we love, photo shoots in Hollywood, New York and Las Vegas… there is a big beauty buzz on this invention.Created by a woman and a PROfessional Makeup Artist!

While I never practiced using my hand as a makeup application pallette many women and men in the industry do.I am featuring these on my beauty and lifestyle segment today on a daytime TV show I do called The Chat seen on NBC12 in sunny Florida!

I want to bring attention to this brand as I really think it makes a lot of sense and is much needed. I don’t want somebody to make up my face with their lunch, body heat and more coming out of their pores. I know you know what I mean.Think about it. It is so much ore sanitary to use this Hygienic hand pallette skin shield by Hygeniskin.Latex free. It is essential. Effortless clean up and healthier for you and your clients health too.

The most amazing part of this brand is beside the invention itself is the woman behind the brand.Unfortunately she is no longer with us.She died of cancer but her husband is carrying on her brand and legacy.I want to help George keep it going and alive too !

As seen in the TREND REPORT by American Spa magazine as one of the hottest brands for 2017.

So, if you are  a makeup artist, studying to be one or simply care about being more sanitary when doing your makeup….you need this product in your life!

Peace,Love and Blowouts!

drybar-photo-blog-jpgHave you ever had an actual blowout? No, not your tire blowout but a hair blowout. Many women do not know what it is.

A couple of weeks ago  a new spot for hair opened in Jacksonville,Florida. This is epic for the city. The name of the business is DRYBAR.

No cuts,no color, just blowouts!!! That’s all they do.

I have had this service done at other salons across the country but never by this brand. I tried to get one a blowout while working in these cities… Las Vegas,NYC and Chicago bu all locations were booked. They have sixty locations to serve you and offer long convenient hours. They recently opened a shop in a section called Brooklyn. So, being homesick and craving my NYC. I HAD TO GO!

The reception at the front desk was awesome. They took a good guess on my name and calling me by it once I walked in.What caught my eye first is all the yellow and white decor and when you enter the overhead lamp is made with a yellow blow dryer.

Pretty cool!

Next they asked me if I wanted something to drink. The offerings were:water, coffee, tea and a Champagne mimosa. I of course chose the Mimosa.

Blowouts I could choose from the service menu were named after drinks. If you don’t drink alcohol this could be a problem. But the services are described beautifully in the menu alongside pictures of how that style will look.

The Straight Up

The Manhattan

The Cosmo

The Mai Tai

The Cosmo-tini

Southern Comfort

Dirty Martini

The Uptini

Shirley Temple for kids or pre-teens

Add a braid to your service

I chose the Manhattan and a dash of Southern Comfort.

What  I wasn’t ready for was it took a total of 45 minutes! The stylists wash and work at styling and blow dry every strand of hair and they follow a certain protocol. If you do not want your locks to be pampered… you may not like this service.

I enjoyed my experience and you will too. Give them a whirl!

The holidays are coming and you may just need that special look for all the holiday parties and New Years Eve too. #treatyoself!

$40.00 per service

You book your appt. via the APP or connect online.

Back to always fabulous Las Vegas!

I LOVE to work and play in Las Vegas!

Back again last weekend for the International Esthetics Cosmetics and Spa Conference as well as the International Beauty Show.  Two fabulous shows one for beauty industry professionals like makeup artists, skin care professionals ,spas and plastic surgery clinics. The other IBS is loved by hairstylists, nail techs and makeup artists.LV SIGN photo

So good to connect with businesses, explore the show floor and lecture. My two topics were “What a Bride Wants” and “Model and Fashion Week Beauty Secrets.”

Someday soon I will post them and will share them ALL with you too!

They had a cool down in the weather instead of the 122 degrees they’ve been having… it was only 112 degrees.Lol…it was tough! I played on the LV strip, I got a mani & pedi, shoulder & back massage, got a deep cleansing facial and foot spa experience all on the show floor. I sampled, touched, sniffed, rubbed and tested many of the new products in beauty.

I shopped till I really dropped…lots of  work and YET so much fun!

Gotta get caught up and rest up and reboot my body. It is exhausting and travel today is even more so. I had two flight issues one with airplane problems and one with delays that were weather related.Happy to leave and enjoyed all that LV had to offer and happy to get back to my husband and to chill.

A gift of Music

SANCTUARY 2

Have you ever met someone you made an unforgettable IMMEDIATE connecting with from the moment you looked in their eyes?

Have you ever listened to music and thought it was made just for you?

The man George Skaroulis was that face that made such a lovely impression and connection with my heart. From the moment we met while I was guest speaking at a spa show in Las Vegas. Who just happens to be a pianist with the most amazing music that will touch your heart and soul. I have been listening to his music for a couple of years. He’s just come out with a new CD and I simply wanted to share with you.

I think music is another perfect gift.

I LOVE listening to it in my car,my office and home.I’m sure you do too.I think I love it even more because my mother was a pianist and a vocal teacher. She tried to teach me the piano. But I didn’t think it was cool. At the time…now I know better. With age comes wisdom with time comes an appreciation of her beautiful piano lessons and his beautiful music.

His CD’s are the type of music you hear when getting a massage, fine dining and or at a spa. But wait, no whale music and the ocean…just piano and his magical musical heart to piano keys connection.

I can’t imagine life without music especially George Skaroulis.

Thinking about someone stressed out on your gift list?

Want to make them feel amazing just by music? Give the gift of music.
