Sliders!

I love makeup but I also love to cook. Let’s celebrate every single day in our own way! Missing going to our fave Mexican eatery I had a craving for something. So I am making Margaritas and a crisp cold salad and this recipe. I am watching my calories since the pandemic has me filling all of my cravings for food and sweets. It is tough isn’t it?

Here is a recipe I enjoy for healthy Mexican sliders.

1 lb of ground turkey

1/2 tsp garlic powder

1/4 tsp black pepper

1tbsp chili powder

1 avocado mashed

8 tomato slices

4 reduced fat pepper jack cheese

Prepare in a medium bowl,mix together turkey,chili powder,garlic powder,and black pepper. Divide your turkey into 8 different portions to make a slider shape into a patty.

Place patty in frying pan. cook well for at least 3 to 5 minutes

Place burger on a bun and top with 2 tsp avocado, 1 tomato slice and 1/2 a cheese slice. OR switch it up and create your own version to suit your taste!

Chicago on The Cheap!

It has been a whirlwind…I can’t wait to share with you the great spots you will love in this city too. I came to visit for work and play and this isn’t my first time. Being from NYC I am a big city girl. I have grown to LOVE Chicago !!!

There are a few words that best describe Chicago...It is Chic,Clean,yummy and very friendly.

If you are looking for a delicious breakfast or lunch on the fly…you must TRY Off  The Tracks Grill the owner is a hard working charmer and the food is so fresh and DELICIOUS.

I ate there three times.I could have eaten there even more but controlled myself. The price is right. And IF you are pressed for time. They get it…you are in and out. Cozy dine in available and they are closed for dinner.

Please come back.I have so much more.See the train tracks going over the Chicago river? The sound of them alone makes you happy as they jet across the city to take you here and there and everywhere.

Taxi CAB FASHION

While window shopping back home on my way to meet friends for lunch I could not resist what caught my eye! Low on a shelf at a Fifth Avenue store I came across this sparkling cab find.

Window shopping is the BEST! Don’t even know the price just thought the purse was unique and nice. In New York you have to look up and down and all around. Not just straight ahead.

Thought you’d get a kick out of it too.

Relax … Escape here!

When you feel like a REALaxing escape head to the mountains of Georgia. I recently spent an overnight away and had a delicious lunch and took in a breathtaking view at Montaluce Winery. Dahlonega Georgia and the sweet small towns on the way are the perfect pretty getaway!!!

Dahlonega means gold in Cherokee…and not only is the restaurant on the grounds of the vineyard beautiful the towns getting to it are fun to explore. I wish I had more time to rummage and explore more.

I have travelled to Italy at length before. If you yearn to go to Italy and feel like you left on Alitalia Airlines in a day. Go visit and dine at Montaluce. I suggest you partake a bit of they’re wonderful lunch, cheese platter served on a slab of stone and take in the view with the Wine Flight offer.
