Got Strawberries?

IMG_1673 strawberries.JPGIt is National Strawberry month and I have been celebrating all month!

I went to the the farmers market and stocked up on lots of fruits and veggies. The strawberries always call out to me. So, since my skin has been kind oily lately (Florida is so humid)  I decided to make one of my natural face masks this morning as I am going to be on TV in sunny Florida.

Did you know strawberries are little miracle workers? Both internally and topically.

They are filled with vitamin C,vitamin K,potassium and folic acid. They also contain an acid which keeps our faces protected from ultraviolet rays. Giving your face and neck a fruity facial is great because it also contains essential salicylic acid. Strawberries help to exfoliate your skin and brighten it up too.

Did you know some celebrities have been known to use the inside of a strawberry to help brighten the teeth simply by rubbing it on and leaving it o  for a few minutes!

I tried it and it works that is a quick brighter teeth natural fix.

I also love to use frozen strawberries with coconut or almond milk and add a dash of NeoCell’s collagen powder. YUM to prettier looking healthy skin. NOT all of your supplements need to be in pill form you can pop them in smoothies and bowls.

Another fave and pretty to look at salad and enjoy is when I make it with strawberries, spinach, pecans and edible flowers!

So add strawberries to your life in more ways and enjoy the fruits and veggies Mother Nature gives us.

HELLO…Greasy face!

New Image Powder Foundation 2011

Does your face look oily and greasy …NOT glowing?
HATE foundation? Do you want a pretty quick and natural looking fix?

First of all don’t hate your shiny oily skin. Oily skin is your friend. It keeps you younger looking longer. However, I have oily skin and I know how you feel. Besides using good skin care for your skin type my beauty secret is a powder foundation in a compact. A double duty beauty that gives you amazing results and looks soft and pretty. I professionally recommend a kabuki (short & fluffy)powder brush to apply it. NOT the flat powder puff that comes with them. I get compliments on my complexion every day! I hope you will TRY one someday soon and enjoy the beautiful looking benefits.

BRUSH oily skin away, tone down shine and even out your complexion with this new beauty technology and look.
Say “Hello” to a gorgeous new look.

PS
Dry,normal to dry or hormonal skin loves this too.It evens out your skin with a kiss of powder and foundation too.NOT heavy and no cakey powder face.

Farmer’s Market fresh!

tomato

I hate when I have insomnia! Oh and when I wake up very early after I have tossed and turned ALL night makes me even more frustrated. So, what does this girl do? She makes a face mask to help you for the summer heat.

Fresh tomatoes from the farmer’s market are the best. Not only because they are FRESH but they make you feel good supporting your local farmer…don’t just buy from your local big box grocery store.Discover your local farmer’s market. The prices are even better! I love the Jacksonville Farmer’s Market. There is a vendor there who carries ALL KINDS of fruit and veggie treasures! SHE is ALWAYS there. Always helpful and has what I need and things I didn’t even think I need.

Tomatoes have been an old remedy for oily, very oily or blemished skin. These happy color red fruits are rich in minerals, vitamins like A,C and E. They nourish your skin and BODY when you eat them too.

1 Tomato

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

Dash of olive oil

Chop tomato and place in mini bullet blender or food processor and blend.

Apply the above that you whisked and mixed together in a bowl.

Apply on a CLEAN FACE staying away from you eye area of course.
Leave on 10 minutes or more. Depending on how much time you have.Rinse well a follow with light application of a moisturizer.

You’ll feel like a salad with vinaigrette. But don’t worry if you have any left over you can eat it too!

This mask also helps to control shine and oil when you are glistening in the summer time or SWEATING like I do.
