Day 18 of MY Beauty Secrets

To give your face a pick me up in the middle of your day I find you need this!

Rosewater

It is an old Victorian beauty secret but I’m sure Cleopatra used it at some point if we look back in cosmetic history. There are several not many on the market right now. In the winter ❄️ I use it to hydrate with its mist. In the summer I keep a bottle on ice or in the fridge and spray that cool rosy mist.

OR I use it at night! Some come in a spray bottle which I prefer.

And I have seen one in a pour out bottle to use on a cotton pad. Spray is easier to use.

It gives your spirits a lift as most of us like rose 🌹 scented things. And it gives a gentle mist hydrating your skin glow. You can use it over foundation. on bare skin or after a long day and you’ve washed your face and ready to go to bed.

Many women say it calms them down.

And under a face mask with a few touch ups a day. It really can be what your skin needs.

Have you ever tried it?

  • Choose a simple skin care line for your skin type. Seek a beauty professional for their recommendations if possible. If your skin is acting up with breakouts even more so. If you really have issues consult your dermatologist.
  • Add a probiotic dietary supplement your beauty routine. Beauty from the inside out. Ask your doctor first if you’d like.I highly recommend Flora Prenatal Probiology by Belle +Bella.
  • Use a tinted moisturizer and skip the foundation or use a lighter formula powder foundation.
  • Bronzing powder can be your go to all in one product. You can use it as your blush, soft eye shadow, eyeliner and more. To make gorgeous lips just mix it with a clear gloss or lip balm.
  • Think about using clear mascara that defines lashes but with no color.
  • Buy multi-tasking makeup brushes. One’s that are two or four brushes in one. You don’t need to use a 12 pc. collection/brush set.
  • It is not just about applying  stretch mark cream or vitamin e oil. YOU want to smell good and have softer skin too! Instead of a perfume or cologne choose a double duty product like a hand and body lotion with a touch of fragrance. (and you’ll be washing your hands a lot too) Both a win/win. Try a few refreshing ones by Therapispa.I love the White Tea with natural shea butter.Or Sweet Cream Body Milk Hans and body lotion for your 👛 purse by FarmHouse Fresh . applying body lotion care cosmetic productPhoto by Linda Prebreza on Pexels.com
  • You are going to be hot and hormonal!!! Keep your face cool by using a Rosewater by Noreen Young Cosmetics or Orange Face Mists by Therapispa and healthy with spa water you can make at home and carry with you too.
  • Having a heat wave? Check out and wear a fashion accessory you can cool off with called  Hot Girls Pearls. Simply freeze the necklace for 4 hours and enjoy and look fashionable too. http://www.hotgirlspearls.com
  • Sometimes just wearing a BB or cream,a bold lipstick 💄 or gloss and a pair of sunglasses 🕶 are all you need to LOOK put together and feel it too!
  •  BONUS: Here is my recipe for…cooling foot 🦶 relief.
  • D.I.Y. Recipe for a summer 🌞 foot soak for tired moms, swollen ankles and leg swelling. Simply grab a handful of Epsom salts and add a drop or two of Aura Cacia Peppermint essential oil to a warm water foot bath. If you can tolerate it with  cold water even better. Aaaahh!

No Chemicals BEAUTY

photo Oats.JPGThe beauty of food! You can eat it and you can wear it for the sake of prettier looking skin too.

NO chemicals and no ingredients you can’t pronounce.

I LOVE Sundays not only because it is a spiritual kind of day but unless I am working out of town or traveling out of town I am off on Sundays and at home sweet home!

Sunday Funday… Time to recharge, relax and unwind.

It seems everyone’s skin is going through some kind of issue because of the weather. Despite the fact that they say Spring is in full swing!

IF your skin is dry, itchy and longing for some attention here is one of my recipes that I am doing on my face and neck toward my breasts today. Sometimes I switch things up and change an ingredient to add another instead. But this is my go to.

What you will need:

1 cup of oatmeal (not instant)

1/2 cup of local farmer honey

1/2 cup of cold-pressed olive oil

Place oatmeal in a mini grinder or food processor.

Grind the oatmeal into a powdery mix.

Add the honey  to the oatmeal and stir.

Lastly add the olive oil and mix with a spoon by hand in a bowl.

Smooth on a clean face. Leave on at least 10 minutes.

Rinse well with a lukewarm washcloth. Follow with your skin toner. I adore rosewater.  Next apply a dash of your moisturizer on your face and eye gel around your eye area.

You will love the way your makeup glides on smooth as silk and the way your skin feels and looks. Hydrated and happy!

I am almost done with my beauty book (Whenever I  think I am done writing it I want to add something else) and this is a peek inside  my beauty filled world.

Enjoy darlings!

Day 3 to Beautiful Skin

a roseAs a skin therapist I love to use and professionally recommend a spritz of rosewater from a pretty spray bottle. It makes your skin happy and plumps your skin up. It will make your makeup glide on like silk when used on a cotton pad before your makeup is applied. I also use it on TV or on brides to set the makeup and for the face to look soft and not so powdered. This is an old Victorian period beauty secret.I am happy some old traditions and beauty secrets do not go away.Smells like you visited a rose garden…you’ll be addicted. Unless of course you’re not a rose fan. Pretty amazing stuff!

You can DIY (you know I love to whip up things in my kitchen) but why bother if you can buy it already made just for you.

Stop and smell the roses~and feel them too!
