Inhale the new and …

Say “Goodbye” to last year too.

Moving forward …

Open your mind and embrace new ideas and mindful rituals. Create a space in your home (your own little sanctuary) and keep a little something on your work desk that will assist with mindful wellness.

You can even take a little something like a crystal with you in your travels ✈️ too!

Healing Harmonies…I love the music 🎶 from David Young. My fave is “Bliss” and George Skaroulis CD 💿 named Sanctuary. Take time to listen to calming music and just breathe. Use music to relax or to mediate or do yoga with.

Crystals are mined from the earth and they can offer some intentional light or meaning in our life too.

Each stone does a different thing and has meaning and a mood. Here are some you need to know about.

Pink Rose quartz is a LOVE 💕 stone.

Agate is a stone for good health.

Green Jade is for luck and prosperity.

Clear crystals are for clarity of the mind.

Amethyst’s are the Happiness stone.

Crystals can be very empowering.

Add some incense, burning sage and Palo Santo which is also known as a “Holy Stick” to your life.

Palo Santo has a sweet scent of pine, lemon and mint. You may also use sage as well. It is also used for a deep meditative state. You light it and let it burn. You may use it and move with it from room to room. When done. Blow it out. Wet the ember tip a bit and place in a 🔥 fire proof dish. Be cautious when using sage or Palo Santo and incense.

FYI

Palo Santo is harvested from natural fallen trees.

Smudging is the ritual of cleansing a physical space, an object or a person.

Great for the spiritual, detoxifying properties, cleansing and clearing the air of a physical space of negative energy.

Will not upset pets or people with allergies. Also they say it is great to kill bacteria after a illness or the flu.

Wellness is not just about what you eat. It is also about what you feed your mind. Check out some new things online and there are plenty of books 📚 you can explore on these modalities too.

Start fresh in this new year and take time to smell the incense and just be.

SHOP on,Gorgeous!

Last weekend was Shop Small Saturday all across the country started by American Express. I participated in it proudly again this year. And here are a few takeaways of what girls bought for their  besties or themselves.

Stocking Stuffers or token gifts…

Remember it is the thought that counts not the price OR how much you buy for that person! And you know what the real reason for the season is!

Makeup Brushes by the set are a coveted gift a girl struggles to get for herself. So many to choose from and it can be overwhelming. Buying ala carte is not the best thing to do unless that is your budget. It is cheaper and chicer to buy a set. And you don’t have to spend a fortune for them. Remember the $ dollar $ quality is not the same as a boutique.

Wine, rose, champagne  wine holders  chic and so versatile. Use them for booze, décor and or to rest your bling and baubles on. They say wine is most gals best friend over any other libation. Add a few gourmet or edible delights like below and you have a gift that won’t be forgotten!

Lipsticks are always in style and putting together a set of a variety of them for your mom or bestie can be so much fun! Add a gloss or balm and they love you forever.

*Add a lip brush and you’re all set. Yes, they are still in.

Bath and Body Treats are so lovely! And SO NEEDED. When you shop you can get a lot of little pieces. Aromatic and hydrating are best for the skin. And aromatherapy is so relaxing and mood lifting and calming.

Candles are always a good idea!

Palo Santo,Sage and herb plants are both unique and practical too.

Fragrance is a very personal thing. So, I usually only give it in bath and body lotions not necessarily by the bottle. Unless you know the exact fragrance they love.

Day 3 Gift Idea for HIM!

closeup photo of mint

Last year I bought my husband a variety of small herb plants and an ivy and placed them in plant pots.  He works on the computer hours at a time. He also likes to cook when he is in the mood. So, my ploy to get him in the kitchen worked for me all year.He not only made us some spa water with fresh rosemary and lemons. He also uses the basil with Italian dishes and pretends be talian. The plants have grown into these eco healthy plants that purify the air from bad things that get in our home and keeps him healthy from all that computer blue light and what rays our tech tools give off.

Bonus they are so beautiful to look at and aromatic too.

So, I highly recommmend if you have’t purchashed a gift for him yet…

Give him a few plants in a beautiful basket, wrap in a cookbook and a small kitchen utensil and spoon or whisk…

You now have a thoughtful healthy and creative gift.

If he is a foodie even better. Remember it is truly the thought that count!

SPAaaaaaaaaaaah and Rituals!

blog SPA SAGE photo 2017.JPG

I told you I would post about my spa visit in Santa Fe New Mexico. And here it is.

I fell in love with the resort and caring staff at the La Posada De Santa Fe hotel and then I discovered the SPA! The Spa Sage in Santa Fe is a sweet relaxing retreat. Tucked in between our quaint and unique  rooms.

The spa was filled with a wonderful mix of products. Not always do you see that. From beauty to fashion accessories and fragrance.

One thing that caught my undivided attention was a sign holder with the words below and square white patches of cloth and a paper twist tie. Next to it were pieces of this silver gray sage. Here is what it read:

Sage is held sacred by many Native Americans because of its purifying energies.Traditionally cleanses both the body and the mind. Traditionally it is used in areas in smudging ceremony to clear the energy and purify the body.

Upon arrival at SPA SAGE,please make a bundle of sage while thinking of a concern you would like to release as well as good thoughts you would like to bring in.

This practice will prepare you for complete relaxation during your spa experience. At the end of your spa journey you may leave your worries with us to burn at night in the fireplace or take the bundle home with you to burn or keep for a memory of your experience with Spa Sage.

I never experienced a spa quite like this and this extra special touch!!!

I took my bundle of sage that I put together at the spa so I could photograph it and show you! Tonight I AM following the spas instructions and burning it with intentions.

I also love the fact that if you stay at the lodge you can get a eucalyptus & lavender aromatherapy steam room treatment. Can you smell it?

HEAVENLY! And just what my body needed as I arrived with a respiratory infection. The spa also offers fabulous facials, massage, mani & pedi’s and more!

Come to find out a fan of the hotel staying there told me that Hollywood called and they just shot a movie at this hotel with Benjamin Bratt and a few other celebrities.

If you are ever out that way…you need to see this resort and SPA!
