A Sky High Beauty

I received a beautiful gift!

A pair of shoes. But not just ordinary shoes but high heels. A super sexy pair of sky high beauties! The color in regal purple.

Did I mention they are by a designer? No NOT those infamous Christian Louboutin shoes with the lipstick 💄 red sole bottoms.

Now you may or may not know I’m not a designer label anything kinda girl. I buy and wear what I like the label means nothing to me. I do wear Diane Von Furstenberg, Halston, Gucci, and the ever cool designer Betsey 👄 Johnson to name a few.

But this pair is something else. They are by ESCADA. My first Escada fashion item! Do you own a pair of shoes or heels by Escada?

They stand mighty and glorious on a shelf looking at me.

Channeling my inner Christie Brinkley!

In the midst of cleaning and organizing the office in my makeup studio for a few weeks. It is hard to have an immaculate office and desk when you are doing beauty services and helping clients with their retail shopping needs. I discovered a box I had a hair piece in. I also reconnected with an old friend onmy desk …Timeless Beauty a book that I read and put down and read again. I think it is all about this book cover!

Who doesn’t want to look like Christie Brinkley when we turn her age!  Right?

I also noticed I opened the box but did not ever use what I bought from Hair2Wear. Christie’s ever poplular Wispy Hair Wrap. Doesn’t that sound sexy?

I eagerily dropped what I was doing to test drive the hair wrap like she uses on her own hair.  I tried it out 5 different ways and no matter what I did my Wispy Wrap…

I said out loud…“Looked like CRAP”. and worse yet I ordered the wrong brown hair color!

So disappointed  I shot this photo and put it back in the box under my desk. I so wanted sexy effortless wispy hair like Christie. Then I remembered  when I and why I bought it… she demo’d on TV with the show host and made it seem so easy. But her next guest selling appearance she demo’d even more and started pulling out many (NOT just one to get her look) hair pieces that were strategically placed all through her hair. SHE is a MASTER at it.

It just goes to show you…don’t judge a book by it’s cover. This beauty really works it in more ways then one…with what appears to be effortless style. Maybe I’m missing something and I need to buy a pair of those to die for shimmery and blinged out high heels,a gold sweater and strike a pose ala Christie’s cover on the book.

Perhaps then THIS brunette will look like Christie Brinkley! (Wink…Wink)

I love Naples!

I recently had the pleasure of visiting a magical beautiful place…Naples.

Another fabulous trip to Chicago and I managed to fit in time to shop till I dropped. The weather amazing and the city oh so fun and CLEAN! I love this city as much as my NYC. While browsing all the shops including the Magnificent Mile of shopping and eating ….I came across a colorful,friendly staffed shop with the most AMAZING & TRULY UNIQUE SHOES.The shoe store is called AKIRA and next time you visit the city you must make them one of your stops to shop.

I am addicted to all things makeup,beauty and skin care BUT fashion lured me and I had to share with you. I found the cutest,sexiest and unique things. These shoes are something else aren’t they?
