BACK from working at a ginormous Hair and Spa show!

Just came back from educating at the Premeire Orlando and Premiere Day Spa shows.

How fun and exciting it was! Not my first time there but it still gives me a thrill. There’s a special electricity on the show floor. My class room warmed the room with eager beauty professionals wanting to learn all I had to teach and share.photo of woman leaning on pole

This SUMMER it is all about bold lipsticks and sexy shimmery hues. NUDE is put on hold a bit this season.

Chocolate…Do I have your attention?

Need I say more?
SPREADING some LOVE JUST IN TIME for Galentine’s and Valentine’s day.
There’s a new edible beauty in town and it will help you achieve AGELESS skin!

It’s called Ageless Delight! And I’m on my third piece. Not too sweet, tastes just right and you can’t even tell that it has all these beautiful ageless benefits for your skin.

Ceramiracle has just introduced the first-ever, clean-label, sugar-free, AGELESS Beauty Chocolate Supplement — and it’s VEGAN, KETO, AND GLUTEN-FREE!

POWERFUL INGREDIENTS:
  • Made with 70% organic South American Dark Chocolate.
  • Fucoidan (RENEWS SKIN ELASTICITY): A super gut repairing antioxidant from seaweed that stimulates collagen production in your skin and protects your skin’s natural elasticity.
  • Polyphenols (RICH IN ANTIOXIDANTS): Is naturally packed with antioxidants which aids in skin firming and rejuvenation.
  • Phytoceramides (IMPROVES MOISTURE RETENTION): Helps to recreate the protective skin layer that has been lost to time by binding the skin together and locking in moisture. It improves the skin’s density and restores elasticity.

I don’t know about you but I embrace age. It is a part of life. I don’t want to necessarily look younger and the word anti-aging is so over used. I want to look ageless and look my personal best. I also adore a good box of chocolates and these individually wrapped bites are simply DELIGHTFUL and taste heavenly!
The company calls it soul food for the skin.
The pretty aqua blue packaging reminds me of the spa and being by the sea.
Can you feel it with me?

Wanna feel …cool as a cucumber?

IMG_2658.jpgSo do I.

The temperatures are soaring across the country on my trip to Las Vegas a couple of weeks ago it was in the 100’s most days. In Florida we are so HUMID and in the 90’s. Los Angeles 112? It is a melting pot of hot. So, here is a way I like to keep cool with the cheapest vegetable around…the cucumber!

Did you know? It is composed of 95% water, but also contains, vitamins B1,B2,B3 and B12? hese vitamins help soothe the skin from any irritations, reduce swelling, and prevent water retention. It also contains ascorbic acid ,folic acid and polysaccharides (a hero in hydrating your skin) and has super powers.

Today it is going to be another hot one!!! So, I am going to make cut them up in a few small chunks and fill an ice cube tray with them and make “cuke cubes” my cool and refreshing version of ice cubes. I like to sprinkle a smidge of sea salt on top. Once frozen I like to pop one in a glass of seltzer water and or Perrier or Pellegrino water. So refreshing and when the ice cube melts enjoy that lovely cumber.

Yes, you can also enjoy them like a cracker alone. Or embelish with some yumminess on top. I also like to make those cool cucumber eye pads out of them simply by cutting a slice and lay one on each eye for at least 10 mins. and let it’s beauty benefits soak in and calm those tired peepers!

I also highly recommend doing a Cool Cucumber Facial!  All you need is to scoop out the inside pulp of the cucumber and place that on a freshly cleaned face with a fan brush or baby spatula. This is mask is  really an awesome feeling skin treat. I leave the mask on at least 15 minutes and lay down.

Cucumbers are not only great for a tray of crudites at your next party but great for sunburned skin, help plump your skin, tightens the pores, helps with elasticity of the skin that leads to skin sagging. It also balances the PH level of the skin and gently lightens thus brightens and gently exfoliates the skin.

This pulp mask on a clean face is a wonderful…NO chemical skin care! And FYI other skin therapists/estheticians like me use this mask on their clientele too.

So now you see you can enjoy the cucumber in your salad,in a drink and on your face and neck!

From the garden to your glass!

IMG_2317

I love to make fresh water prettier and taste it too by using awesome herbs and or flowers.

I prepare them in a pitcher, serve it by the glass in old time jars (from an antique mall) or in a gorgeous goblet. Today my recipe is with rosemary, mint and flowers.Organic or home grown is best. I rinse the herbs first and clip what I want to add to the water. It is so fun and refreshing too. I don’t use ice. I use fresh bottled water that is room temperature. I allow the herbs to mesh with the water and infuse it with the aroma and flavor. My fave’s are mint, rosemary, peppermint, fruits, veggies and flowers. If you want to use ice in it once this is infused and prepared of course you can do so.

As for flowers I buy  flowers that are edible and I buy them at Whole Foods Market just for decoration no infusion needed but they do make a lovely addition. Most of the box mix contain marigolds and pansies. So colorful!

And the best part? YOU can actually eat them.

If you’re looking for a fun thing to or to do with your family or sweetie this summer…this is a wonderful thing to do together and tasty too.

PS

I also like to place them in an ice cube tray one flower per cube space and freeze. Pop on in your next drink or add flower cubes to your festive summer punch bowls. So FUN to do and pretty to look at while you sip away. Please note: these flowers are edible. read the box from the store. AND I do not eat the rosemary etc. only the flowers that are edible. Or you can just look at them and enjoy the colorful sight in your glass or pitcher.

Beauty TIPS:

  • If you are still partying and have guests over this long weekend. Before your guests arrive or even if it is you alone with your pet. Prep with a ripe avocado face mask for softer skin while you cook.
  • You can also apply a hair mask on your hair and place a shower cap over it. Your body heat from running around the kitchen will make it work faster and condition your hair.
  • Put your sandals on and apply a dash of olive oil on your toes and condition your toes and nails while you whiz around the house with that vacuum cleaner.

Double duty beauty time and get your cooking, cleaning and beauty fix in too!

On the Go again!

Never a dull moment. How’s life with you?

Starting to pack my makeup bags and luggage. I am so ready to work and rock  New York City too. As much as I travel for work and play…packing is always a challenge when I have to fly for my work.Between the beauty supplies needed as a working make-up artist. So many rules too much beauty and clothes! I want to take every lipstick and walk in closet with me!

Other than working which is my fave’ thing to! I look forward to taking it all in…the city that is and the many things it does for my spirit and soul.I miss living up north.

PS

Found this artist on Instagram who drew this playful illustration of me and my LOVE for makeup and all things LIPS!

I am wild about this shade …it is like a violet with a touch of pink ! Do you like this hue?

I am hoping to find clothes and accessories in this hue! May even create a lipstick in that shade for my cosmetic line too.

SPRING is calling me!

Stay tuned …I can’t wait to share my beauty, travel and food adventures from my trip with you!

I LOVE to Create all things Beauty!

As some of you know I love and am so attracted to all things Asian beauty namely China and Japan. And I continue to embrace all the K-Beauty  products that have come to the US. It is so much fun exploring the NEW and the tried & true! Yet I think I have only begun to tap the surface of this other world of beauty finds.I want to learn and test drive even more!

Through the years I created kits filled with beauty products from China but my other love is creating beauty products inspired by the Orient. It is so satisfying to my beauty spirit to create. From choosing the formulas, what they can do and I get to name the products too! Our clients love them too.

Last year I introduced a beauty box filled with products called Lucky Cookie…it is filled with beauty I curated from China,Korea,Japan and more.My signature chopsticks and fortune cookie included. You’re a Lucky Cookie if you own this box is how I look at it!!!

Recently I curated a kit of products that I named the Bento Box of Beauty. It is an actual Bento FOOD tray FILLED with beauty and bath products. Happy to say …We sold out over Valentine’s day!

The best part you get to enjoy it all and not throw the packaging out.

If you are a foodie, a beauty junkie and or appreciate the flawless beauty of a China doll complexion…you will fall in love with this Bento Box!

Tell me what you think of this fun box of K and other Asian beauty?  I love eating from these unique compartments but I think I like it even more when it is filled with ALL things beauty and fun! Bento Box of Beauty 1 -2017.JPG
