Spring and all it’s beauty is here! 🌺

Wanna spruce up your look, fashion and home decor? TRY a few of these.

Makeup is still in but softer and baking and contouring and the cake face is NOT in.

Doing your makeup doesn’t have to be a chore and take hours to do. Before you consider buying all things NEW go over what you own and throw out what is old, smells bad or the mirror cracked. These are all things you do not need. I also recommend you wipe & clean your products down and wash those makeup brushes too.

After you have done the above…Treat yourself to a NEW lip gloss, lip balm or lipstick. 👄

Lipstick adds a little bit of sunshine to your lips! It will make you feel so good. Don’t usually wear anything on your lips? Try it you might just like or LOVE it.

BLUSH is popping this spring. It is front and center for brightening your face & complexion. Just don’t over do.

TIP: If you’re in a hurry or forgot your blush you can use an eye shadow in a pinch and go!

ADD a new handbag and a pair of SUNNIES to your spring wardrobe for a new look. Or add a new pair of shoes! These always put a spring in your step.

Another idea is to SHOP your own closet and drawers. I recently discovered a gorgeous sweater and purse I forgot I bought. Now, I have two things new!

Add some green 🍃 to your home decor scene. So pretty and healthy for you too!

Make your warm drinks a special time for you! 💕

I hope you try a few new ideas for adding a bit of color to your world!

Day 9 of MY Beauty Secrets

💋💋💋💋

I never use to think sunglasses were needed. I mean they are attractive. But I thought you only wore them at the beach. But living up North we only had a couple of months out of the year to really enjoy time in the sun! So, I really saw no need for them since I wasn’t going to the beach much.

After visiting Hollywood for work and play I discovered Celebrities wore them a lot. Not just to look chic or cool 😎 but to hide behind.

As time went on… I saw the light! The sunlight that is.

Protect Those Pretty Eyes!

Sunglasses 🕶 are my Eyes BAE. They protect my eyes and vision in so many ways. They protect the skin around my eyes as well.

They also make a fashion statement and are a fun addition to my wardrobe.

So what took me so long? If it’s going to help me look a bit younger around the eyes and keep my vision as best as it can be. I choose sunglasses as my beauty secret for my skin and eyes!

After a day at the beach or in the sun!

It isn’t all you expected is it? The first few  or time back in the sun after winter is tough. on your skin. Especially when you don’t bring your BFF’S. A sunscreen, sunglasses and lip conditioner. SUNBURN that dreaded look and feeling after a day or two in the sun. You aren’t sitting pretty!

The #1. thing you should have done was throw out last years or expired sunscreen or sunblocks. You need a fresh one! Please don’t forget to reapply not just apply once and think you are all set. You’re NOT!

2. Protect those PEEPERS and wear sunglasses. Squinting causes wrinkles and your eyes themselves need sun protection. Your lips need some love to with a lip balm.

3. Once you’re burned by the sun and outdoors…you need to rescue your skin! But calm down I’ve got your back!

Try a yogurt …plain fluffy Greek yogurt. You can make your own (I will share how you on another TV blog) get some store bought. Apply to your skin like a face mask. A thin coat will do. leave on and rinse well. Add moisture back to your skin! Apply your fav’ moisturizer and face cream.

*Yogurt is a legendary and easy remedy.

4. COOL the burn on your skin with milk on a flat cotton pad or gauze.

5. IF you own an aloe plant…grab a leaf. Cut it open and apply the gel inside on the skin. Great for peeling and itchy skin too. Or fill an ice cube tray with aloe vera gel (found in drug store) and freeze. Roll a cube on the burn and cool down that skin! Aloe plants make great plants for outside your kitchen door. OR in your home. Easy to maintain. Good for kitchen burns while cooking too.

6. Add moisture back to your skin! Soothe your skin further by applying your fav’ moisturizer and face cream. My latest aloe find is Therapispa aloe lotion for the body and the face cream.

I hope and know you will find these skin rescues for your skin useful.

Enjoy a healthy dose of the sun 🌞 this summer!

Falling for Fall’s new fashion accessories!

I am a huge fan of accessories. Are you?

I don’t have to have diamonds, gemstones or designer things (although Betsey Johnson is my weakness) but I do love both the unique, fun and classic. I recently traveled to Dallas and had the best time working and playing. Shopping is work too. Sometimes you can shop for hours and not find a thing and turn around and go home. But this trip I found a gorgeous cotton candy pink glam necklace and earring set with diamond like crystals. $3.00 worth of gorgeousness. I also found a pair of trouser sock like stockings in the prettiest shade of pink. $1.00 scored! After the spring, summer, winter you can find some AMAZING deals as the stores are getting ready for new merchandise. You know out with the old in with e new. Their trash is your treasure.

I love the way just by adding a few fashion pieces to your fall wardrobe can go a long way.

Here are a few things to spice up your fall wardrobe.

Choose pearls (faux is fine) they are always in fashion and NOT just for old ladies! I have them in ALL colors from earrings to bracelets and necklaces.

A classic pair or three of cubic zirconia or Austrian crystal earrings. They never fail to impress. No one knows they are not diamonds but you.

What’s still  trending in necklaces are a large statement necklaces (especially pretty on taller gals) OR a simple tiny diamond like stone other design necklaces. Small but makes a statement. Necklaces always that little something to a plain outfit from blue jeans to that basic black dress. Celebrities are a master at this look.

A new pair of sunglasses (Sunnies) will not only protect your eyes from wrinkling faster they are so much fun and tres chic. Some days it is all about a great pair of sunglasses and a luscious lipstick!

It is STILL so HOT in Florida where we do see some sort of fall but I am sure you are feeling cooler fall wherever you are. Enjoy the beauty of this color filled explosion nature has to offer.

Spice up that wardrobe with a few new pieces and ENJOY!

Not Your Mama’s Eyewear

mom 3

I’m ALWAYS losing or breaking my glasses. I came across this chic line of quality eye wear AKA reading glasses and want to share. Inspired by the runways of Gucci,Valentino, Oscar de la renta and Dolce and Gabbana the styles are chic and on point. The brand touts they are not your mama’s reading glasses but they should be.

Meet Flutter Eyewear

The fun factor part about selecting and buying them is the paper doll template you cut out and get to try on your face  to test drive the style you are interested in. They also have a section where you select a style based on your face shape.

I love the reader style Clarice Little Black Dress with a red lipstick!

And don’t ya just love the darling names?

Oh and they even make sunnies! My fave is the style named Ayla sun Cognac Kyoto.

Now, I CAN take a walk on the beach looking for seashells or read a magazine and SEE yet protect my eyes and say no to wrinkles around my eyes from squinting too.

Oh and I almost forgot to tell you they come packaged in a gorgeous red box with a  carrying case and note card.

Check them out…oh and it just may be a great gift for MOM or Glamma this year.

Because you asked…MY Skin Care Rituals!

Beauty Infusion

The most common question I get asked is what are  MY daily skin rituals?

So, because so many of you have asked I decided to share it with you.

#1 I take care of my skin!

NO secret there. I never go to sleep with the end of the days makeup on. No matter how tired I am or how much champagne I  might have enjoyed at a beauty event or at a party that evening.I always remove my makeup and wash my face well.

My main goal is to have healthy looking clear (blemish free skin) skin and also want to be healthy from within!

I love to spray my face with rosewater during the day.I also set my makeup with it.

I don’t wear lots of foundation.I apply it where I need it. I am not fond of looking at a couple of  sunspots I got from sunbathing when I first moved to Florida.I like an even looking  complexion.

I am a “water girl”…I drink tons of it!!!

I drink bottled water and also enjoy drinking a special water called All Beauty Water. I rarely drink soda or other sweet drinks.

After I wake up I drink a cup of hot water with a squeeze of lemon. This is my go to!!!

My mother taught me this since I was a little girl. She drank this daily. Then I drink either coffee or aromatic jasmine tea. Sometimes depending how my day is going to be I drink  Italian coffee with a pot I bought in Italy I got addicted to it on trips to Italy.

I take Belle + Bella   Probiology  capsule probiotic daily. It really helps me to maintain healthy skin from within…the gut~

I also love to drink my collagen and wear it too with NeoCell‘s new collagen supplement in powder form and my standby Beauty Infusion powder skin supplements by NeoCell too. Just add them to water, sip and go! My skin LOVES it and it shows.

Since moving from NYC/NJ to sunny  Florida for my husband I have gotten smarter and learned to love adding a sunscreen to my beauty skin routine. After meeting countless women with weathered sun damaged skin,I simply had to.

I also learned a good pair of sunglasses “sunnies” are a healthy addition to my fashion/SKINcare wardrobe.”They protect your eyes as well as the skin around your eyes where squinting wrinkles form.

I love to eat fresh fruits and vegetables. I buy them almost on a daily basis.Fresh is BEST! They do wonders for your skin.I love to visit Asian market and stores and farmers markets or shop at Whole Foods Market or Trader Joe’s.

I love supporting small biz farmers vegetable and fruit stands when I travel too! This weekend I am going to enjoy steamed veggies, yummy salads with edible flowers,I’ll make some blueberry sangria and a bit of naughty. Not sure what that naughty will be.

When I want to eat candy I love Sweet Pete’s in Jacksonville Florida or shop Dylan’s Candy Bar in NYC or pop in the Sugar Factory in LV…but since  sweets age your skin faster I put myself on pause and eat a Beauty Burst by NeoCell. It is like candy for your skin. It has wonderful bonuses  for skin, nails and my hair and tastes like a StarBurst’s chewy candy.Taking vitamins never tasted or feels so good.

Since I LOVE natural I am going to make my skin a treat! I use this mask before I put on makeup. I vary using different fresh recipes I have created through the years.

An Oatmeal & Coconut Milk Face Mask

Try this recipe if you like to D.I.Y.face mask:

3 ounces of ground oats

1 1/2 ounces of coconut milk

Optional: Grind a small vanilla bean into the oats.It will smell amazing!

Mix dry with the wet ingredients and add a dash of fresh whole milk if it is not moist enough.

Apply to a clean face and leave on about 10-15 minutes.

The Beauty Benefits?

Great for all skin types including sensitive skin. It adds moisture to your complexion and gently exfoliates dry flaky skin too. I prefer to leave it on 10 minutes or so. Rinse mask off with  warm water and a washcloth. Add any one of the  moisturizer’s on my shelf and apply Young Eyes eye gel.

I also will slice some cold cucumbers and place one of each on my eye lids and rest my eyes. I truly think music is healting to the soul and calms the spirit. My fav’ is listening to the beautiful music of George Skaroulis “Sanctuary or David Young’s “Bliss”. If you don’t know their music you need to!

Hope you enjoyed a peek inside my skin care rituals.

I embrace my not so perfect lovely face. Do you?  What do you do?

*Due to your requests and inspired by the site Into The Gloss too. I hope you enjoyed the rituals I do.More on my skin rituals to come .

Selfies

noreenB53A7512_print

I don’t do selfies. NEVER have!!!
And when I take an unexpected pose for a photo request I also don’t pose in photos with that one arm on the hip syndrome when standing and striking a pose like a fashion model. I am just ME.

Here’s my NEW headshot. No, I am not in the pose I just told you about above. I am sitting on a couch and resting my arm on arm of the chair. The photographer captured me last week like I never expected. She bought my soul and spirit to life.I added the fun sunglasses as I am crazy for all things lips! I love the way the pic’ turned out. Do you?
This photographer from Poland rocks the lens like no one else I have ever been with!!!

I used to take a photo with my twin and am so happy I have those memories as my twin died unexpectedly. Since that time I decided to take photographs more often.I convinced my many sisters to do it too. Each year is like a chapter of your life. Life is short I made it a point to take a photo every few years so I can see the many sides of me.Every face has a story.

When did you last take a photo if ever with a professional photographer and not NOT a selfie?

What does your picture and face say about you?

PS
If you are lucky enough to live in or near or vacation in Jacksonville,Florida maybe just maybe you need to book an appointment with Anetta Nadolna of Art’n’Illusion Photography.

Mom’s Easy Guide to looking pretty!

I did a beauty and lifestyle segment on The Morning Show today and wanted to share with you some beauty and fashions secrets.

Mommy Makeup in minutes

First of all… you don’t need to wear a buffet of beauty on your face. Keep it soft and simple for daytime.
A tinted moisturizer…like Not Your Mother’s Foundation which has both a touch of foundation in a bottle of moisturizer.Pretty coverage and protection too. This is mult-tasking beauty at its best.

If you don’t want to use this type product and prefer less…at least apply a broad spectrum sunscreen like COOLA mineral sunscreen. If you love organic and unscented they’ve got you covered too.

Next add a few dots of salmon or honey yellow concealer to take away a pooped out appearance…around the eyes and the inner corner of the eyes too. Blend with warmth of your ring finger.

Next add a kiss of color to your cheeks with a soft brown bronzer with a dash of shimmer. Or choose a pinky peach for another type of healthy glow.

A lip gloss or a lip balm is the lazy girls go to product.
I also LOVE and highly recommend a creamy lasting lip stain like the ones on http://www.noreenyoung.com. They stain your lips with a nice rosy glow and are one step not three. Not drying nor do they make the lips peel or flake…just gorgeous healthy looking lips.

Mascara is optional…yes, optional! IF YOU cannot live without it…wear mascara and or accent your eyes with a soft liner in a chocolate or charcoal or COLOR.Clear mascara is IN~ Note: colored mascaras brighten the eye area. Dark black or brown will accent a tired appearance.

Want TO SET your makeup, make it last and a touch of natural color to your eyelids too? Try Asian Rice Powder! IT IS MAGIC. I am wearing it right now as I usually do and the work day is almost over and my makeup is lasting too~ Simply apply a dash of this block of powder that looks like a white brownie with your powder brush. Also apply it to your entire eyelid with an eyeshadow blending brush and you’ll have a soft NOT POWDERY LOOK eye shade and a natural finished face too. NOT a caked on face! I promise.

Spray a dash of your fav’ fragrance or sprinkle yourself with a dusting powder and you’ll look and smell delicious.Your hand and body lotion can be the fragrance of the day. It will both make you smell delightful and hydrate your skin too.

Pure hair eco friendly spray by IT&LY is a great on the go spray.
This company loves the planet and your hair too! Always keep hairspray and if your hair is medium length or longer carry a hair clip or pretty pony holder in your tote bag or diaper bag. Using it will instantly make you look more polished even on a bad hair day.

If you are really pressed for time do what celebrities do! Wear a gorgeous pair of sunglasses and a sexy shiny gloss or bold lipstick. A smile is the best accessory you can wear and a pretty pair of earrings or a unique scarf or sparkling necklace can make your face and skin glow.

There’s no excuse why you don’t have 3, 5, or less than 10 minutes in the morning to look good for you.

A little dash of color goes a long way!

I do it every day and do it for me first and the world second too.
They say presentation is everything…present yourself in a beautiful way and feel good too.

Day 21 to more beautiful skin

sunglasses
Your eyes and the skin around them!

Working in New York you are hidden by lots of buildiings so the sun to me didn’t hit my face like it does in Florida. For years I did not wear sunglasses! Now I think I got a bit smarter on this and see the difference. The skin around your eyes needs TLC and that means sunglasses they actually PROTECT the health of your eyes. They also help with preventing more wrinkles. Squinting from the sun causes wrinkles and not using sunglasses can age that delicate tissue around your eyes over time. My clients whine about those crows feet. I hate those words. I am not a crow and neither are they. They simply need to protect your eyes and take care of them. I used to think sunglasses are just for celebrities in Hollywood.Silly me!

It’s the weekend…If you don’t have a pair of sunglasses maybe now is the time to get a pair.If you don’t have extra money to buy a more upscale healthy pair with major UV protection at least try any pair. Did you know your eyes can get a sunburn too?

Get into the habit of wearing sunglasses! Your eyes will appreciate the protection and so will the skin around those beautiful peeps of yours.
