Yum!

I made the same treat my family likes especially this time of year. I thought it was worth sharing with you again.

Especially those of you who are new to my blog. It is a simple , sweet, salty treat! Enjoy this Halloween or into Thanksgiving!

What you will need for this recipe:

1 bag of candy corn (I have also used candy pumpkins)

1 bag of salted peanuts

I mix all of the above other with my clean hands. I serve in a glass Pyrex bowl. What I love is how colorful this treat looks and how good it tastes. Not too sweet or salty.

I also include a mini spoon to scoop on your hands for a single serving. No hands dipping in or double dipping into the bowl!

I have given it as gifts too! Mason jar or smaller canning jars work beautifully. Add a message and some ribbon and give to those you 🧡 love!

Hong Kong PART 2

I so loved all the amazing tea shops and small business owners selling all kinds of cups of tea! Known as CHA.

But my absolute fav’ place was for tea was at The Peninsula Hotel in Hong Kong 🇭🇰 .The Peninula’s legendary Afternoon Tea is they say a ritual routed in British Custom with the Duchess of Bedford originally bringing afternoon 🍵 in vogue in 1830. Today the Grande Dame of Hong Kong honors this general tradition by elevating the art of Afternoon Tea in the legendary surrounds of the huge and grand lobby.

Here warm,buttery scones are accompanied by organic jam and clotted cream served on tiered, silver cake stands, alongside gourmet finger sandwiches and fine pastries.

My husband and I enjoyed the most delicious hot tea, warm scones, tea pastries, macarons, mini decadent chocolates ended the tea time.

Tea choices served were Assam, Darjeeling,Earl grey, Peninsula Breakfast Tea and Peninsula blend.

You could also select from: Almond, Caramel,Cinnamon, 🥭 Passionfruit, 🍑 Peach, Raspberry and 🌹 Rose teas.

The extra special topping was a glass of 🥂 Deutz Peninsula Brut 🍾 champagne.

It was so delightful and decadent! The grandeur of the hotel itself was quite the experience. Being in Hong King made it even better!

I glanced over at my husband mid-way of our feast and his eyes were glazed and I have not seen him so content in a long time. He like I am is almost always working. He told me he was so relaxed and found the process of enjoying Afternoon Tea very very relaxing. It was so nice to see!

I have been to High Teas in Europe and all over the US but have NEVER had a high Tea experience like in Hong Kong. The staff was wondeful too.

If you ever have to go to China on business or travel for pleasure. Try and take the time to have tea at the HK Peninsula Hotel. Well worth the luxurious and delightful trip!

 

Sugar Me up!

Tis’ the season for sugar and  all the tempting sweets that come with it!

It is also the time of the year to kiss lots and the weather can give us the driest lips!

I like to make and use this D.I.Y. when I ma ready to KISS under the mistletoe and my lips get dry from rapid change in the weather  or times your lips simply need a moisturizing plumping boost.

My recipe is simple~

1 Teaspoon of honey (organic is my fav’)

1 Teaspoon of brown sugar (organic is my fav’)

Stir the two together for a lip softening treatment at home! Apply to clean lips and rub back and forth with your ring finger. Leave on at least 3 minutes and repeat rubbing process again.

Rinse with warm water on a wash cloth or flat round cotton pad.

Apply your fav’ lip balm afterwards.

Kiss the night away and ring in the new year with soft lips!

 

Some days you just gotta…pamper yourself!!!

It has been a long day and so much has gone on this week!

My week doesn’t officially end on Friday. I work at times  travel on the weekends but work every Saturday.So, I had to go there tonight and drown my cares in a nice warm bath. Showers just don’t do what a bath does.! Don’t you agree? So, I found this little gem to soothe my soul and hydrate my skin.

Tis’ the season to make me curvier and I couldn’t be happier!!! I’m FLIPIN’ happy.
My boyfriends are back and…those squishy, mushy,sweet and oh so loveable marshmallow treat.
