Chic Vanity Tables to Elevate Your Beauty Routine — StyleCaster

Love a great vanity (aka Dressing Table)… ME too!

Here are a few you can swoon over or D.I.Y. yourself one. Inspiration is everywhere. I have a portable vanity one I use to touch up myself in my makeup studio or on set on location. Perhaps I will  share that one with you one day soon.

It’s time to give your getting-ready set-up a luxe makeover.

Sometimes the best things in life are small!

I love my life in the beauty industry!

I wear many hats in my life in beauty. I so love being a small business owner in America and being the designer of my indie beauty brand. I also am passionate about educating at spa and beauty shows across the country.

BUT my fave thing to do is making women happy that means YOU too!

So, I promised I will share what’s in my mini fridge by Cooluli the 4L classic…that I featured on TV in  my beauty segment on WJXT the other day.

The possibilities are endless! You are only limited by your imagination.

But first…

I am a Northern girl who moved to Florida for my husband. But being MADLY IN  LOVE I soon discovered Florida is VERY VERY hot, steamy and humid. Not a winning combination for my hair and skin. I GET REALLY HOT! They say Southern girls don’t sweat they glisten. Well that’s proof I am a Northerner as I sweat. From hair to toe! So, I am always looking for ways to keep cool.

Skincare

I don’t keep all these products in my mini fridge but I do whenever I need to. I rotate my as needed. Using them out if the fridge feels refreshing and amazing!

BLOG Thorw it Out 1-2017.JPGAs the new year rings in… and things have calmed a bit think about your beauty and skin care products not just eating better and losing weight!

And now is the hard part. Smell them, shake them and see which you may have to part with.Yes, actually throw out and start fresh! Bad beauty isn’t very pretty and surely not healthy.

As a professional makeup artist I see ALL kinds of cosmetic bags. But some of my clients collections of makeup and their makeup bags frighten me!

  • Her bottle of foundation has turned green along with the beige hue.
  • Another clients  lipsticks had a horrific scent and didn’t glide on like silk.
  • Their eyeliners are so chopped up and the wood base is ready to rip out her cornea anytime.I know this was from not sharpening with the correct pencil sharpener.
  • Another clients nail polishes are turning yellow and green…it makes me want to scream!
  • The blush has such an oil build up on it I could fry french fries on the powder blush from her facial oil.
  • The skin care smells rancid and her sunscreen shakes very watery as it has lost its magic.

The truth is you can’t keep skincare, makeup, nail polish and more forever!!!

I know you love that fave’ shade they discontinued years ago but you’ve got to say goodbye to it. For the sake of your complexion and your health…this is a must. So, now with the  weekend here…perhaps you have some time my dear to play a game I call Let’s Throw It Out!

Restart your beauty game or your face and health won’t look the same.

What to do with your almost done makeup?

You savor the last drop. Right?

I think being green is gorgeous and not wasting is a good thing.

Here are a few ways that I love to do both in my retail makeup studio, from my personal makeup bag and on my vanity.

Yes, I do have one of those. It is so ala old Hollywood!

When your blush, eyeshadow or powder compact is showing more silver or plastic inside and the product is forming a product ring around the sides.Rescue it with this tip.

  • Crack the sides with a small butter knife or other utensil that you have.
  • Loosen up the blush or powder and turn them into a loose product.
  • Pour into a mini travel container and use with a blush or powder brush. I bet you’ll have a weeks worth at least.

Enjoy!
