Luscious Tart Lemons!

4.0.1.
Lemons can save the day when you’ve eaten your way since Thanksgiving day! I hope you had a yummy day.

Make hot water like you would for making hot tea. Then pour it into a tea cup or coffee mug. Next, squeeze a fresh lemon wedge or two into the water. The more of the lovely lemons the merrier.
I learned this recipe from my beautiful blue eyed mom who said it was a Polish remedy and had used this recipe for years.
It aids in digestion and cleans out your digestive system in its own lemon water way. And it makes you feel better.

Your skin will benefit from this simple hot drink too! I actually do this daily.
Soon you’ll be ready for the decadent eating Thanksgiving leftovers this weekend (lol) or just enjoy feeling a bit slimmer in that LBD (little black dress) this weekend.

Warm and oh so cozy …Spiced Wine

I love to entertain, kiss and cook! This week and or weekend why not whip up this recipe for a warm wine brew?

1 Liter of red wine

A little bit under a  1/2 cup of sugar

4 cloves

2 cinnamon sticks

1 teaspoon of organic honey

Warm all of the above on the stove top. Bring to a bit of a boil, strain  and pour in mugs.

I first tasted this in my travels to Italy…in cool or cold weather or when I entertain this is one of my warm and cozy recipes. Another version can be to add a dash of nutmeg and some lemon or orange peel. Either recipe it is delicious.

It’s a wonderful life! SIP!
