Hello Beautiful Autumn!

We are still in summer despite the calendar letting us know that the first day of fall has arrived. The palm trees are swaying and it is still so HOT.

This picture below is NOT what I am going to see.

I so miss NEW YORK City and the north especially when it comes to the fall season.

I do long for cozy scarves and sweaters. Sometimes fall in Florida is still HOT and humid. But I hope this year will be different.

A anything NEW when it comes to beauty. Even though I own a makeup studio in sunny Florida I LOVE to browse and explore.

What are you looking forward to this fall? What are a few of your fav’ things? Planning anything different and special?

It’s the little things, it’s the lovely things that are important. Enjoy!!! 🧡

Do you like yours NAKED?

Summer is almost gone but you can still get in your hot dog 🌭 jam on the grill.

What’s your brand favorite?

What’s on top?

What’s on the bottom?

Ketchup or mustard or plain?

I am in love ❤️ with Nathan’s hot dogs as I was raised up north …Coney Island and the boardwalk rules!

New York’s finest also is the street vendors serving up Sabrett’s they are also the best! Gotta love those NYC street vendors.

And by the way, if you are ever near or have to go to Newark Airport in New Jersey… Jerry’s a family owned started hot dog business 🌭 is a must!

I like mine with sauerkraut and mustard. I also love the chili on top style. My husband is mad about a coleslaw hotdog with mustard.

But today I decided to try a topping Cuban style that I discovered awhile back playing in my kitchen. My husband loves it. We love Cuban sandwiches and this reminds us of one.

Recipe for making a mustard topping to dress up your hot dogs with a Cuban twist:

In a bowl stir 1/4 cup or a dash more of yellow mustard

Next add 1/4 cup of sweet pickles

Add mini slices of cooked ham

Sprinkle some cumin seeds and stir all together.

This will make one cup.

Store in the refrigerator no longer than a week should you have a any leftover.

If you like to eat Cuban sandwiches… you’ll love this!

Cheese 🧀 (Swiss) might be a great melt over topping on this! I’ve tried it both ways. Yum!

Gotta run.

…Creases and I don’t know what to do! I use cream and powder shadows.

Creamy eye shadows usually contain waxes, oils and more which may accentuate lines.

Start by applying a sheer coat of foundation on your eyelids. This will create a barrier between your skin and the eye shadow shade.

Next I apply a shadow with a small eye shadow brush NOT my fingers. Between the oil from your fingers and the eye shadow it will help not add more oil.

Next, dust your eyelids with a light coat of translucent powder. I adore Chinese Rice Powder. But if you have another translucent powder brand you love use it!

The powder absorbs any excess oil.

If you still notice wrinkles look for a silicone not lanolin or mineral oil based eye shadow. You’ll get a smoother finish.

Hope this technique helps you with any eye shadow issues. Sometimes this helps even better than an eye shadow primer!

Secrets From a … Nail Artist You Need!

I recently had a chance to chat with a nail artist. In my interview I asked her what are her Top 5 Tips for the Nails.

With all the hand washing we are doing and it all taking a toll on our cuticles and finger nails I know you will enjoy her fabulous tips for healthy nails! Hope you put her trade secrets and personal fav’s to work this long holiday weekend.

Or book and appointment with Nina! Her number is 904-234-7161 if you’re lucky enough to live local in Jacksonville Fl. 🌴

Here are her tips and is one of her latest nail creations. So fun! So pretty.

  1. Hydrate- keeping the cuticle area hydrated with a cuticle oil. I prefer my own brand Cula, which consist of vitamin E, jojoba oil, and an essential oil.
  2. Taking vitamins– taking vitamins working from the inside out helps promote healthy nail growth. Vitamins B is best.
  3. Nail growth– Using a nail protein such as Nailtiques protein 2 plus helps train those nails from broken & brittle to healthy strong nails. I recommend polishing every other day for two weeks and evaluating your nail growth from there.
  4. Manicures– keeping the nail plate clean and getting rid of old dead skin cells helps promote nail growth.
  5. Nail tech– choosing the right nail tech that is knowledgeable and knows what there doing to help you take care of your nails.

Did you know the first nail polish originated in China as early as 3000 BC !

Back to School Tips

Here are a few points of interest that you might even like for your children or grandchildren.

Back to school calls for a trip to the store for a bit of new decor along with school supplies. I love a lipstick 💄 tube lamp. It adds some fun and color to the room. Even when studying. It’s so cute. Isn’t it? Surround your children with mantra’s on framed wall hanging signs like “You are beautiful” .

“You can do it” and more. The stores like Ross, Five Below and Home Goods have some fabulous options for girls and teen decor.

Another idea are lunch or snack bags with designs on them. So fun to eat from especially when you find them with lips on them. These designs with lips in red and in bold pink are adorable and can be used for other things.

Now’s the time to make sure you have sunscreen for children and teens. You can teach them how to apply with their finger or with a clean makeup brush that they will use only for sun protection. it doesn’t have to be expensive. They will feel like they are doing makeup but they are not. And it is a fun way to put it on too. Home schooling or in the school yard they need protection if they are spending time outdoors. A little goes a long way.

Apply sunscreen with a Brush? Yes please!
So much fun!

As for hair care. Detangling hair in the morning can be tough and take some time. Invest in a brand called the Wet Brush and buy a bottle of BOO by So Cozy! This spray for the hair not only detangles all lengths of hair but helps with keeping lice away. Works wonders.

Here is a Crazy for Chocolate 🍫 DIY Lipgloss!

I did not feature it on TV 📺 today but it is a bonus for you!

I thought you’d like to whip it up in your kitchen.

Your daughter or granddaughter can make this and you both can have girl time fun.

It’s fun to try new things and thought you’d like this BONUS recipe I did not show on TV today.

1 tablespoon of coconut oil (Add more if you’d like)

1 Teaspoon of cocoa powder

Mix the two together.

Stir and place in microwave a few seconds.

Pour in a small container. I like to repurpose and reuse. I like to make this recipe and pour in a mini glass jam or jelly jar. You know like you get from room service or mini jars available at a food store. This recipe lasts a week or more. It hydrates the lips and is a chocolate treat in one.

Allow it to cool. After it dries you can apply it to the lips 👄 with a clean finger or Q-Tip.

You’ll want to eat it! But don’t. Just enjoy the yummy chocolate 🍫 taste.

BEYOND Maskne there’s…

Feeling anxious? Feeling uneasy?

I’m feeling it a bit too.

So, with my love for aromatherapy and lavender essential oils. I played around with a few oils and came up with a few tricks to calm me down OR to make me feel good.

Photo by Palo Cech on Pexels.com

I love 💕 lavender and I also love rose 🌹 essential oils so I took my cloth and a medical mask covering a sprinkled a drop of aromatherapy on each mask. I did not apply it at the mouth or nose. I applied a sprinkle to a corner. Testing how it’s going to feel and work! I fell in love. A little goes a long way.

While these scents may work for me… they may not please you. Test drive one or two and see what you like and enjoy the aroma of one or two that are right for you.

I placed the clean masks in a small baggies and left them in there a few hours. When I opened the baggies the masks smelled so comforting and gave me all the feels.

So, I hope you’ll try scenting a mask to make yourself feel good too. I imagine since I travel on airplanes ✈️ a lot. This aromatic mask idea will work for me. If you love ❤️ to travel give it a whirl too!!

Fake DON’T Bake!

Don’t bake by the pool or at the beach all day! I love Vitamin Sea(and applying a Vitamin C Cream ) but not when it comes to hurting my skin by inflamming it by getting over done laying out in the sun🌞.

So my recipe for a getting a little sun is if you want some rays and a little color either way. Do it in moderation. And if you want a healthy tint that you get to look amazing and your skin to look sexy and fabulous try my new best friend.

I couldn’t say it any better than the company does. Fake Bake Body Glow Bronzing Lotion (Face and Body is a  gentle, tinted moisturizer that is made from the highest-quality ingredients, providing hydration as it accentuates your skin’s best features and it feels so good on the skin too!

Filled with botanicals and vitamins to nourish the skin. I’m kinda addicted.

Body Glow Bronzing Lotion is specially infused with gold micro-flecks to enhance pale or lackluster areas of your body with a healthy-looking luminosity. Designed to complement your natural skin tone, this unique bronzer is perfect for drawing attention to your most eye-catching assets, like cheekbones, collarbone, décolletage, thighs or calves. It even blurred my start of vertices veins in my leg away.

This Fake Bake Body Glow can be applied anywhere you want to add some sparkle. Use clean hands and a kabuki brush for easy blending. And I don’t mean glitter but a luminous pretty sparkling glow!

It smells divine. Like Tahitian vanilla to me.

And oh so sexy on the skin!

So I hope you’ll get a gorgeous glow by faking it with Fake Bake!

Love it or NOT?

Because you’ve asked me to start to do beauty product reviews I’ve decided to do exactly that. While I do own a beauty candy store online and in my city I do like to shop, play and enjoy other brands. And at this present time my shop is only open online and by curbside 💄 pickup.

The Covid cases are ever changing here and rising deaths. I long for my clients and helping them look fabulous and shop.

Since that is not happening in person I started to venture out to a few stores.

I have NOT shopped anywhere BUT the drug store to pick up an RX,grocery store for food and drink and a dollar store since March! Really!  I’m trying to keep my husband, myself, my family and clients healthy and safe from getting Covid-19.

How are YOU doing?

Are you shopping away online?

Have you shopped a lot in your city ?

Or are you basically doing what I am doing? Wearing a mask, social distancing when needed and trying to keep our world healthy.

I recently ventured out longer to another store and picked up ELF liquid eyeliners. While I live for and love a gel liner in my rim. I adore liquid eyeliners even more when it comes to my eye 👁 liner on top.

I prefer it be be the color black. Although dark brown will do too. But not always easy to find. Being Eurasian a combination of Asian and European I love to define my eyes with liner. I love the way it defines and can make my eyes look even more exotic.

I tried the Elf Jet black liner bottom right first in the tube that looks like an inkwell. I did not like it at all. It was messy. When I wore it for a short period of time and went out the door it stared smearing immediately. I found it to be kind watery. I loved the true jet black color though. I would not buy it ever again!!! 😕

Next, I tried a few days the black liquid eyeliner in the chubby tube. It’s slanted but with a thick like slanted shape and is like a Sharpie marker for eye lining your eyelids or under eyes. It want easy to use and took me a few days to learn how to use it. It worked ok. I don’t think I’d buy it again.

I tried another one for a few days. It is called H2O Proof eyeliner pen in jet black. It is a thinner sleek tube with a felt tip like eyeliner that offers a fine pretty line! It lasted and it did not run all over my eyes, fingers and more like the first one on my list did. I liked it very much. I loved and enjoyed using this easy to use one. No sweat and liner down around my eyes and face.

Lastly and this week I tested the Intense Ink Eyeliner in blackest black. It has a sexy long and sleek felt tip design. The tube is full like the Sharpie one I used and mentioned above. It was versatile and fabulous! It was a breeze to use. And you can make the line as long, thick and as creative as you want it to be! I LOVE ❤️ this one best!

If you’re into black liquid eyeliner like I am … I hope I’ve helped you pick out the right one for you and NOT waste $$$ on something that won’t work too.

I am in LOVE 😍 with Sharpie markers. They give my blog writing and signature life! Wish they made one for the eyes! Oh one can only wish. Maybe one day they will dive into the world 🌎 of beauty!
