Water 💦 a beauty essential!

Wherever I go! I see girls and guys with a Starbucks or soda. Yet on the top five complaints I hear is how they wish they had clearer and plump looking skin.

It’s is so simple! Drink MORE water besides using hyaluronic acid and other creams and serums for your skin. It doesn’t matter if it’s plain or fruit 🍎 veggie🥒 or herb 🌿 infused 💧 water.

Make a fresh pot weekly or more.

Drench your skin from within with water! Your skin will reflect it and you’ll feel better and I find have a bit more energy too. There’s something about 💦!

Please…put down that coffee ☕️ sipping and soda 🥤 addiction habit.

Be good to your body and skin.

Do you ever crave certain foods?

Of course you do!

Unfortunately most of  my other cravings are about crunchy chips of any kind, buttered popcorn,old-fashioned Circus peanut candy and salted pretzels. peanuts!

So today I am giving into my cravings and indulging in all things green!

Here is a simple but mighty powerful healthy recipe to enjoy.

  • Steam some greens like spinach, kale or collard greens.
  • Add a squeeze of lime or lemon juice over it.
  • Don’t throw out the water from the greens you steamed.
  • Drink and enjoy it like a cup of broth or soup.

Steaming veggies like this creates a mineral rich broth that is a great way to detox. Always think about your beauty from the inside. Nourish your body and give it what it needs.

Blackheads are rearing their ugly heads…

Once they come to the surface. That is why they call them blackheads the dreaded  clogged pore!

Sometimes blackheads come from an over worked sebaceous gland. Not washing your face good enough at night and more.

Here is my go to D.I.Y. recipe for telling them goodbye!

2 teaspoons of cornmeal (I grind it fine in my coffee grinder)

1 teaspoon of Chinese or any other clay mask powder

1 teaspoon of lemon juice

2 teaspoons of plain yogurt (I prefer Greek)

bottle container cream creamy

Mix all of the above in a bowl. Let it rest. The cornmeal will get creamy and the clay will soften together. Stir and apply the mix on a wet face that you FIRST splashed with water. Apply to your face with a clean MASK brush or your fingers. Stay away from your eye area. I like to focus my attention to the T-zone or wear there may be a stubborn blackhead. Rinse with warm water and your fav’ cleanser and rinse again.

Your face will look better, skin tighter and the blackhead be gone (fingers crossed).

Give yourself a Super Smile this spring!💋

IMG_2960.JPGIf you want a fresh new look this spring...change up your spring beauty routine when it comes to brushing your teeth. I like and use other toothpastes but always come back to this brand. And they have two NEW flavors for Spring!

Berry Chill and Coconut Key Lime Mint these are the HAPPIEST flavors and the tube is pretty eyecatching too. It makes me want to brush my teeth even more!

I am totally in love with SuperSmile a brand created by Dr. Irwin Smigel...the father of cosmetic dentistry who created the FIRST tooth whitening toothpaste!

These new flavors offer the same amount of 6 shades of when used with the Supersmile whitening accelerator. But I often use the toothpaste for it’s star ingredient Calprox. The unique way you use the toothpaste is on a DRY 😁toothbrush.

I saw results in a few days. And then they continued on. Just remember EVERYTHING we eat stains or tints our teeth. Like skin care you have to be consistent and used on a regular day and night basis.

The company says maximum results, 6 shades whiter is achieved in 30 days. Great for healthier gums too.

So maybe it’s time for you to discover a new way of brushing and have a healthier pretty smile too! SMILE BRIGHTER

Skin Care Alert!!!

DERMATOLOGY IMG_1534.jpg

I saw my dermatologist for a tiny spot on the side of my nose.I had waited almost a  month to see her as she could not see me sooner. The spot was red and came out of nowhere. I was really scared as I did not want cancer on my nose or anywhere for that matter. I have had so many clients lately who have had skin cancer on their face and it was so bad reconstructive surgery was necessary. So sad, painful and expensive too.

When I finally got in for my appointment she examined me from head to toe. When she got to my nose and I watched her look strategically on my nose with a little unit with light. She gave me the news! I was on pins and needles!

Th condition I have is not rare. It isn’t cancer it according to her is a tiny scratch on my skin from OVER scrubbbing or exfoliating. In my quest for healthy looking clean skin I scratched my skin in the process. OH HAPPY DAY. I flew out of her office with wings on.

LESSON learned? Ladies be careful don’t be so rough with your skin! Don’t over scrub, exfoliate, buff and more. Be gentle with the skin on your face and body.

Be in tune with your body and skin.

Develop a relationship with a dermatologist. You don’t want to wait until you have a problem. You want to have someone you can count on and call on.I get checkups every six months after having had skin cancer. A board certified dermatologist can see you for blemishes, sun spots, moles and serious conditions like pre-cancer and skin cancer.Get to the root pof the problem before it get worse or hopeless.
