National Foot Health Awareness month…

My Top Picks for Healthy Feet! Guys too!

Our feet take us wherever we need to go. Especially if you are blessed to have them.

To keep your feet 🦶 healthy you need to maintain them! Just like brushing your teeth or washing your hair. They need some care!

Here’s a list of what I like to do:

Once a week I do a refresh. It takes a few minutes or up to 30 minutes if you do the DIY foot bath. It all depends how much time you have.

🦶Foot Cream

🦶Nail file and orange wood stick

🦶Cuticle remover

🦶Cuticle oil

🦶Pedi socks for women I use when doing my toe nails or after a pedicure & going home.

🦶White cotton socks 🧦 for men

🦶Clear Nail Polish with garlic or without

🦶Basin to soak your feet

🦶Towel

1. Weekly, check your toe nails. Trim or file away any rough or uneven tie nails and smooth out your nail bed.

2. Use cuticle remover if needed

3. Apply Cuticle Oil like “Working Girl”. It’s a multitasker.

4. Rinse & wash your feet well. I like to use a nail brush or buffer. Gently dry your feet but leaving them a bit damp.

5 Next apply a good quality foot cream

6. Put on white cotton socks.

Now if you’re in the mood to and really want to relax… You’ve gotta try my “Milk Bath” for your feet. Ever since I fell in love with Hawaii, I have enjoyed using anything coconut 🥥 🌴 It is so hydrating and skin and hair softening. You can even shave with it. Or run some through your hair.

Draw a warm bath in a basin for a DIY foot soak.

Add 1 and 1/2 cups of canned coconut milk. My secret weapon! Not only can you cook with if you can use it on your body and hair.

I prefer the lite coconut milk for this beauty recipe . But if you’d like to use the original canned coconut oil do so. One us just richer than the other.IF by chance you are allergic to any of the above ingredients. Skip it.

Optional* Place a star anise, a couple of cloves and or sprinkle cinnamon to the water.

It will smell like aromatic Chai tea or using “coconut milk alone will remind you of a tropical drink or dessert.

Soak your feet at least 15 minutes. your feet will look better, feel softer, relaxed and YOUR spirits renewed.

If you’re not happy with or having issues with your feet see a podiatrist. I am so happy with my Jacksonville Fl doctor Dr Namen.

Also getting a pedicure monthly or now and then is ALWAYS a good idea! Guys if you haven’t had one… nows the time. You don’t know what you’re missing.

Take care of your 👣 they will take you wherever you want to go and your feet will be sandal ready!

Recently I shared…

That the beauty world 🌎 is on fire 🔥 with all things Asian beauty.

In my beauty travels I have enjoyed visiting, dining and best of all shopping exotic countries! So much to discover.

While I love ❤️ America and my American made brand products… here are a few products and lifestyle tips they follow.

Photo by SHVETS production on Pexels.com

China is known for rice powder, powder blotting papers and all kinds of body, face and eye rollers along with Gua Sha. One of my other favorites is a hair comb made of jade. Chinese people covet jade and treasure it. It is a health and lucky stone.Typically Chinese women don’t wear a lot of makeup.

Japan I am in love ❤️ with a brand called Aqua Cure gel. A little goes a long way. It exfoliates your skin GENTLY! I use the gel weekly. My husband loves using it too.

Japan is also known for Onsen baths in special hot springs, mud baths and sand baths. Yes sand!

Korea (South Korea) to be exact is so advanced when it comes to skincare and technology. Now even American brands are launching their own versions of them. There are different masks for every part of your body. Korean women also have a regime of 12 steps some even more to care for their skin at night! Also they hardly ever if ever go to sleep with their makeup on. It is a “No No”

Vietnamese women’s and Southeast Asian women like the countries above have a ritual of drinking TEA! Black tea,Jasmine Tea, barley, tea, Oolong tea. Drinking tea throughout the day is part of a healthy diet and lifestyle.

Just finished celebrating 16 days of the 🧧 Lunar New Year. It is the year of the dragon. New beginnings and a fresh start.

I hope all my blog readers have a … Happy & Healthy & Prosperous New Year!

This Leap Year … Isn’t it time you tried something new?

What is Clean Beauty? Really!

It’s so confusing to most women and men too! Was it “dirty beauty before” one of my clients asked me..

Well here’s my answer in a nut shell …

No skin care and makeup were not DIRTY the industry just advanced and technology changed through the years. The ingredients are getting safer and better.

Clean beauty is skincare and makeup free of harmful chemicals.

But know this… it is made with natural components but also use synthetic ingredients that have been declared safe.

When it comes to makeup I don’t think you need a lot of products to feel clean and pretty. We all want to be attractive but it doesn’t have to take so much!

Here are just some of the ingredients in skin, makeup and nail polish to avoid. Google them to learn more.

Aluminum. Parabens, oxy benzophemone, one, Formaldehyde, phthalates, carmine, benzophenone, cylic silicones, triclosan, toluene and more.

But don’t drive yourself crazy reading labels and and taking a deep dive!!!

If you know you’re allergic to some ingredients. Just avoid them completely.

But Don’t forget even people who use clean beauty products can have issues with those ingredients as well.

Citrus 🍊 🍋 Scrub You’ll Love!

This is the recipe from Maru Goda’s book I promised and wanted to share with you. Perfect for we Floridians and for the citrus lover!

  • 1 cup brown sugar
  • 4 tablespoons coconut oil
  • 2 tablespoon olive oil

Beauty Secrets from my Kitchen and🪴 Garden!

On TV on a show called First Coast Living a NBC Station I am sharing natural beauty secrets I love ❤️ to do… I have a feeling you’ll enjoy them too.

Let’s make a Floral 🌸 Facial steam bath . There are so many different kind you can make but today it’s all about relaxing lavender buds. And if you’d like a smidge of vanilla.

All you need is:

Next add some fresh lavender buds. I buy the culinary kind. But if you own a plant or grow lavender in your garden, even better!

A bowl or pot (like you’re making pasta) of warm water 💦 that you have boiled.

Shut burner pot off. Either pour water into a glass bowl or keep water on stove top. After it cools a bit but is steamy still you’re ready to infuse flowers or herbs or whatever you’d like.

Next add a sprinkle of vanilla. I like the one you bake with. You’ll have a vanilla lavender facial steam. If this is not for you try an essential oil of your choice.

Place a tea towel or small bathroom towel over your head and allow the steam to rise to your face. Do this for at least 3 to 5 minutes.

Next, gently rinse your face and pat almost dry. Let your skin breathe.

Let’s make a Cuticle Oil treat for your hands & feet!

Best skin smoother ever! Your nails will love ❤️ it!

All you need is a bottle of sunflower 🌻 oil or Olive 🫒 oil. Soak your nails in a small bowl in the oil for at least 5 minutes. Then rub oil serums each cuticle abc on the nail itself. Follow up with your favorite hand cream.

Wanna soften your elbows and knees quick? Grab a banana 🍌 ripe bananas are the best but you don’t have to use only ripe ones.

Place a banana in a bowl. Mash it. Next scoop a spoonful out of the bowl and place on your elbow and or knees or both. Leave on at least 5-8 minutes.

Photo by Any Lane on Pexels.com

Is your face looking dull? After the long hot sunny 🌞 summer days our skin has taken a toll. Soften up your skin and kiss 💋 dull skin “Goodbye”.

Avocado Face mask… yes please!

All you need for this simple recipe is a fresh ripe avocado 🥑 the ugly is ok. You want a ripe one.

Mash the avocado in a bowl and place on your face.

Rinse with luke warm water and a washcloth. Pat dry. You’re good to go!

Lips need LOVE ❤️ too!

Try a blend of brown sugar and a small scoop of coconut oil. Or Vaseline if you don’t have coconut oil. Make one portion or a weeks worth. Kiss away!

Enjoy!

Do you want?

Dewy glass like skin?

Have I got a recipe for you! You know how much I love ❤️ healthy looking skin. So here’s my simple recipe for a mini self care treatment on this “Self Care Sunday.”

Being an all American girl who has a part Asian family background I love these Asian beauty secrets. Southeast Asian women use and celebrate them too. Todays recipe will COOL 😎 you off too.

What you will need for this recipe is:

2 Tsp of rice flour 🍚

1 Tsp of Rosewater 🌹

1 cup of water 💦

Stir the above and pour into a ice cube mold. I prefer the large square ones but use what you have or like.

Freeze for overnight or a few hours.

When the ice cubes 🧊 are frozen and ready take one in your hand and warm it up by your body heat. Just a few seconds. Next roll all across the skin staying away from the eye lids. Don’t stay in one place on the face. Move gently and cover your face with this icy bath.

* You don’t want ice like freezer burns. Be careful.

Do not rinse your face when you’re done. FYI you can save the cube for another time if you are ready to finish this skin treat. Your skin will feel amazing, skin tighter and look brighter!

I also like to make ice cubes 🌸 with flowers!

All you need for this pretty to look at and cool to use recipe is:

Buy some edible flowers or grab a few flowers 💐 snipped from your garden. Rinse them and place in an ice cube tray filled with water.

Freeze the water & flower ice cube tray.

Once they are frozen repeat the same application method. After I come in from a bike ride, being outdoors or after you get home from work. Place that cube on your neck and face if you’d like and roll the hot 🥵 day feeling away and cool off.

By the way. Unless the flowers are edible and clean. Do not use these flower cubes on a cold drink.

However, if they are enjoy the edible floral delights!
