Are you a … Candle ❤️ Lover?

I am too! I surround myself with them in my home and in my business too. All types of candles give me a high. Battery operated, electric plug ins and the traditional candle. They are a part of my Self-Care Sunday or nighttime beauty rituals.

However I have become pickier when I buy them now..I found a brand on Instagram that I had to tell you about. The brand is called L’oil. Created by a woman (Lexi Brown) of course. This artisan candle maker said the L is for Lexi. The oil will n the name represent the oils used.

I love ❤️ supporting small business owners and indie brands.

Her candles are made with all- organic soy natural with 💯 cotton wicks. Choose from an array of scents. The best part they have a 30-34 hour burn time.

Her fragrance oils used are lab tested (phthalate free, SLS + SLES free, paraben free and not tested on animals.

Vegan lovers you’ll love that Lexi says they are vegan too.

My favorite candle is the one with the lip 👄 shaped vessel, so adorable and so sexy! It looks great as decor, on your or to enjoy in your bathroom or at your dressing/ makeup table.

The sweet apple cinnamon makes me swoon! So warm and inviting. And my space smells divine! I love her candles so much i featured them with me on TV 📺 on First Coast Living on NBC12 this week.

D.I.Y. Christmas Eve Aromatherapy

Happy Christmas eve!

Fill the room with Christmas LOVE and aromatherapy!

These are a few of my fragrant faves!

Holiday Diffuser Delight

Fill the diffuser like you normally do with water. For every oz. of water, add 3 drops of Peppermint essential oil. The room will smell amazing and clears your air and helps you breathe better too! Another simple delight is using Cinnamon essential oil.

Hand and body treat! Mix 4 oz. or more of unscented hand and body lotion with 2 drops of peppermint oil. Let it set a few hours. Stir well. Slather up. Enjoy this uplifting scent!

Fill a saucepan with water and bring to a boil. Toss in a few star anise or cloves and maybe a few cinnamon sticks depending on your desire. Turn down heat to simmer.Enjoy this stove top scent in your home.

Play with other essential oils and add a few candles to set the aromatic mood. It is so easy to create your own aromatic elixirs and smells divine too. Add a little creative fun to your day! Your home will smell amazing and your body will too!

I so love ❤️ fall. I miss the change of seasons I had living in NYC. I so MISS my Central Park!

Diane’s Lemon-Raspberry-Strawberry Crostini

1 Baguette, sliced into 1⁄4-inch thick rounds (approx. 32 slices)

Grapes & Olives On Tap Meyer Lemon Olive Oil

12 oz. Whipped Cream Cheese

Zest of 3 large or 5 small lemons

Juice of 1 small lemon

1 small pinch of Lemon Flake Sea Salt crushed

Fresh Raspberries

Grapes & Olives On Tap Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar

†Brush baguette slices with Meyer Lemon Olive Oil; place on baking sheets and bake at 350°F until crisp and lightly golden, about 20-25 minutes. †

Mix cream cheese with lemon zest, juice of lemon and flake salt until smooth. †Spread on toasted baguette slices, top each baguette with a fresh raspberry, drizzle with Strawberry Balsamic Vinegar and Serve.

PB & J Chia Pudding

2 servings

3 tablespoons Chia seeds
1 teaspoon maple syrup
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
3 tablespoons peanut powder
1 cup unsweetened coconut milk beverage
1/2 cup frozen raspberries

Combine Chia seeds, maple syrup, vanilla extract, peanut powder and coconut milk in a jar or container with a lid. Shake or stir until fully mixed. Refrigerate overnight. Top with raspberries.

(I usually serve with a drizzle of honey and fresh raspberries, blackberries or strawberries. It’s delicious – and has 175 calories, 12g fiber and 9g protein per serving!)

Gift Ideas with a Florida Twist!

As a business owner…you never are off REALLY. Last week was a whirlwind getting my makeup studio retail ready for the holidays!

So, I am sorry I have been kinda M.I.A.

Since it is the time for gift giving I thought you might like this blog post.

I am really more like a NYC girl and as I write this and the holidays are near I am starting to get homesick already. When I first moved to Jacksonville I felt like actress Eva Gabor in the sitcom Green Acres. I would often dance around the house and tease my husband and sing “Darling I love you but give me Park Avenue”. But having HIM in my life and opened up my business in Florida I eventually fell in love with palm trees,not driving in ice and snow,yummy Southern food and the slower paced lifestyle.

I found a batch of candles with a manly looking and aromatic twist I simply had to share with you! They might just help you check another gift off your list!

Shine On!

I love to visit St. Augustine,Florida half an hour from my home I try to visit at least once a month. There is this beautiful church there called Our Lady Of La Leche. On these historic grounds I stop at this filled to the brim religious shop where they sell all things holy for your home and for gifts.

My family has had some health issues and I being Catholic wanted and NEEDED to pray for them. you can buy these amazing candles in this store and go to the mini historic chapel and pray to God, Mary his mother or a saint of your choice.

I have always loved the peace I feel from looking at these lit candles and the ritual rich in history. In NYC,Washington D.C. and in my travels throughout Europe.

I adore the way the candles light up the room,my face up and best of all what they do for my soul.

There is beauty all around us. I usually right about beauty or skin,lifestyle,food,share recipes and or my travels. But this week I wanted to share with you to light a candle wherever you are and just glow!
