I have made this Microwave “Bird in the Nest” Toast for years! Kids love to cook and this way they don’t have to use the stove to cook the egg. The toast can be made ahead of time as it will warm up in the microwave. Make the toast and let the kids go at […]
I used to work for the designer Diane Von Furstenberg in NYC. One thing that stood out with me is her love for 👗 dresses!
After all she created the first wrap dress! I owned so many of them! And felt like a million in them!
Now as time goes by I am on a passionate all things lips 👄 high with another awesome designer with a huge creative and playful touch of whimsy!
Designer Betsey Johnson!
Do you love her too like I do???
Isn’t this dress a adorable?
I saw my dermatologist for a tiny spot on the side of my nose.I had waited almost a month to see her as she could not see me sooner. The spot was red and came out of nowhere. I was really scared as I did not want cancer on my nose or anywhere for that matter. I have had so many clients lately who have had skin cancer on their face and it was so bad reconstructive surgery was necessary. So sad, painful and expensive too.
When I finally got in for my appointment she examined me from head to toe. When she got to my nose and I watched her look strategically on my nose with a little unit with light. She gave me the news! I was on pins and needles!
Th condition I have is not rare. It isn’t cancer it according to her is a tiny scratch on my skin from OVER scrubbbing or exfoliating. In my quest for healthy looking clean skin I scratched my skin in the process. OH HAPPY DAY. I flew out of her office with wings on.
LESSON learned? Ladies be careful don’t be so rough with your skin! Don’t over scrub, exfoliate, buff and more. Be gentle with the skin on your face and body.
Be in tune with your body and skin.
Develop a relationship with a dermatologist. You don’t want to wait until you have a problem. You want to have someone you can count on and call on.I get checkups every six months after having had skin cancer. A board certified dermatologist can see you for blemishes, sun spots, moles and serious conditions like pre-cancer and skin cancer.Get to the root pof the problem before it get worse or hopeless.

Cozy Comfort Food! Ican’t wait to make and enjoy this weekend. On a pie high!
If you love Cheeseburgers then try this delicious Cheeseburger Pie. I made mine in a cast iron pan but it is supposed to go into a 9” pie plate. I like using my cast iron pan because it goes from the burner to the oven which means less clean up! Source: Debi Schull […]
I LOVE to travel. Travel changes our lives!
So recently I stayed at one of my fave hotels that you can always count on…Hampton Inn. While I love staying at a luxury hotel, I also love a good basic hotel. I look forward to staying there, know what to expect and know where everything is at the hotel.
The best part when time allows or I get to check in early or have a morning or night turn my room into a spa. Here is what I like to do and perhaps turn you on to some of these ideas too.
I always pack epsom salts, a luxe bath bomb and a mini bottle of bubble bath. You never know when you might just have time for a relaxing foot soak or bubble bath.
I also pack a hair conditioning treatment and turn the hotels shower cap and a blow dryer into a salon like treatment to my hair.
Next, I go to the hotel’s coffee pot and hot water carafe refreshment stand and get some hot water, lemon or lemon packet and pour myself a up of hot water. Drinking hot OR warm) lemon water is wonderful for hydration as well as for digestion especially at the beginning or end of the day.
I also get a kick out of the adorable paper cups and cup holders they have for guys and gals. Too cute!
Next, I love to wash my face before bed and treat myself to a face mask! Feels so good.
Sometimes I have forgotten to pack my makeup remover so I LOVE that the hotel as they usually have Makeup Wipes for us in the bathroom. So awesome and of course to the rescue!!!
I hate and HATE going to sleep with makeup on and have not done it since I was around 20 years old after a late date. Ya gotta clean your face girls!
They also have a variety of newspapers I can get caught up with on the national and international news in print.
When time allows I like to use their special soaps that look like this. The soap bar works wonders for deep cleaning makeup brushes in a pinch. Especially if they get really dirty while you’re making up on the road or you traveled with them dirty and have some sprare time to refresh and clean them.
It also makes a nice bath bar. I love to rub those soapy bumps on my butt and thighs! Revs up circulation too!
I also like to use the honey packets from the breakfast area for tea as a hydrating skin softening treat in my room and add rest in a cup of hot chamomile tea before bed.
As you CAN create a spa in your room and pamper yourself when you travel for work or play too. Take care of your body and it will take care of you!
My husband benefits from the above too. HE too has gotten in on the action!
Shopping for makeup is easy!
Shopping for fragrance is yet another kind of shopping altogether. I recently went shopping for Christmas gifts for my brother- in- law and lured by a fragrance counter. The lights, the bottles and scents! The sales associate greeted me quickly and wondered who I was buying for. I said no one. I told her I thought I would touch, spray and see what calls out to me!
She started to assist and I did not mind as I used to work in Bloomingdales 59th St. and Macys 34th Street in NYC and I know all about the job. They stand all day and work hard!
She tired her best to introduce me to some scents. After she was about to show and spritz the fifth one. I had to say “Bye” at least for now. I was getting fragrance overload. She was disapoointed to see me leave and offered me the infamous coffee bean bowl. If you haven’t been to a fine fragrance counter this is a PROfessional fragrance and perfumer’s tip …You sniff the coffee beans to clear your nose of all the scents and start sniffing scents again. Sort of like the sherbet or sorbet that they serve you between dishes at a fine restaurant! That is why I chose to do this blog post today to let you know the process.
Back to the fragrances and the sales associate…I was confused and wasn’t feeling it. I needed to shop for holiday gifts. So, I left that store. Every time I placed my wrists or hands toward my face to move my hair, or sling my tote over my shouder I suddenly fell in love with the top of my hand where one of the fragances I tested was. I couldn’t stop sniffing and smelling my hand. I smelled so sexy and the scent made me feel so happy. I drove back to that store that night and had to buy a bottle and a body cream to go with it.
So, the next time you are in the mood or just happen to feel like you want to test drive something new. Don’t try more than 3 or 4 fragrances at a time tops! Don’t be in a hurry. Wait a while to see how the fragrance traslates and smells on you. Smelling coffee beans is great but most times you simply have to wait.
I smelled so …Delish!
What scent are you wearing today? Talk to me.

There’s something about a manicure, be it low-key and neutral or blinged out and pointy à la Cardi B, that sort-of completes a look. And regardless of your personal style, nail trends in 2019 will check off all the boxes. Sure, a mani is on the smaller side and nowhere near as attention-grabbing as a…
Shopping for a a gift for a loved one or friend takes time.
Don’t rush shopping for a gift especially when it is for someone special.Every night I sit by candlelight and this light …A serene salt lamp. I have them all over my home and in my business too. They illuminate to room and create such a calming and pretty ambience and a mood all their own.
A salt lamp has so many beautiful benefits! And healthy ones too.
They purify the air, great to use around electronics and computers, smokers homes and are great for people with allergies. Google them and you’ll find ALL their benefits.
I highly recommend them. They used to cost a bit of money but now have come down in price and also gotten smaller and more portable even to clip in to your computer to brighten up the mood or your work space.
I also think they are kinda sexy and cool.
If you’re looking for that perfect gift for HIM or for HER… Think about giving this as a gift. They will treasure a long time and think of you every time they flip the switch too.
Life and WORK has been a whirlwind this past week as well as this week for me.Sorry, I have not had time nor the real energy to give attention to my beauty and lifestyle blog. But I know you’ve been there too. I thought these unique beauty tips will do it for now.
I’ve shared how much I and models, celebrities and makeup artists love to use Aquaphor in my TV work, photo shoots and on men too! Sharing this blog post on how some other celebrities use it too! Enjoy!
By definition, Aquaphor is a healing ointment, designed to heal minor cuts and cracked skin. But that’s far from its only use. Though most of us know the cult-followed petroleum jelly as a lip balm, Aquaphor has tons of other uses, as discovered by the hacks of celebrities, such as Hailey Baldwin, Emily Ratajkowski and…
They say “An Apple a Day keeps the doctor away!
I so LOVE these fabulous recipes. I’ve gotta make at least a couple. How about you?
So, you’ve done your civic duty as an autumn-abiding citizen and gone apple picking over the weekend. You’ve braved the plaid crowds, successfully navigated the corn maze and taken a selfie with a pumpkin. Congrats—you’ve officially been initiated into fall. Now, you just have to figure out what to do with the 20 pounds of…
