Got a bit of yogurt leftover?

I do and in the morning I’m giving myself a facial treat! You can too!

All you need for this quick recipe idea is:

The last “good to the last drop” spoonful of yogurt and apply it to a clean face! Neck too if you’d like.

Leave it on approximately 15 minutes.

Rinse well. Follow with toner of your choice if you’d like.

Add moisturizer to your face and neck and you’re all set!

Just make sure the yogurt is plain and not sweetened. I prefer creamy Greek yogurt.

Yogurt contains lactic acid which soothes and gently exfoliates the skin. Diminishes the appearance of wrinkle and lines. It also helps to temporarily tighten the pores.

Your skin will love ❤️ it and it’s pretty benefits. Guys love it too! Good for all skin types.

Kiss 💋 dull looking dry skin goodbye!

Enjoy!

*Of course … Unless you’re allergic to dairy or yogurt! Don’t use this recipe.

Dull Tired Skin?

Afternoon delight or after dinner beauty while in quarantine. Dull dry skin needs your attention for your makeup to glide on like silk and for your skin to feel softer and look refreshed and smooth again.

This recipe’s anti-oxidants and lactic acid also help with fine lines and wrinkles.

What you will need is:

A bottle of red 🍷 wine

2 tablespoons of wine

2 tablespoons of plain Greek yogurt (organic)

*This recipe is for adults only please.

Another version can be by simply adding a teaspoon of honey 🍯 to the recipe. Very extra hydration.

Mix all of these in a small glass bowl.

Wash your face.

Apply mask ingredients to your face.

While the face mask dries sip a glass of heart ❤️ healthy wine 🍷 if you’d like.

Leave on at least 15 minutes.

Rinse off with lukewarm water and a washcloth.

Apply your moisturizer and eye gel or cream and you’re good to go.

Your skin will love you back. I promise!

After a day at the beach or in the sun!

It isn’t all you expected is it? The first few  or time back in the sun after winter is tough. on your skin. Especially when you don’t bring your BFF’S. A sunscreen, sunglasses and lip conditioner. SUNBURN that dreaded look and feeling after a day or two in the sun. You aren’t sitting pretty!

The #1. thing you should have done was throw out last years or expired sunscreen or sunblocks. You need a fresh one! Please don’t forget to reapply not just apply once and think you are all set. You’re NOT!

2. Protect those PEEPERS and wear sunglasses. Squinting causes wrinkles and your eyes themselves need sun protection. Your lips need some love to with a lip balm.

3. Once you’re burned by the sun and outdoors…you need to rescue your skin! But calm down I’ve got your back!

Try a yogurt …plain fluffy Greek yogurt. You can make your own (I will share how you on another TV blog) get some store bought. Apply to your skin like a face mask. A thin coat will do. leave on and rinse well. Add moisture back to your skin! Apply your fav’ moisturizer and face cream.

*Yogurt is a legendary and easy remedy.

4. COOL the burn on your skin with milk on a flat cotton pad or gauze.

5. IF you own an aloe plant…grab a leaf. Cut it open and apply the gel inside on the skin. Great for peeling and itchy skin too. Or fill an ice cube tray with aloe vera gel (found in drug store) and freeze. Roll a cube on the burn and cool down that skin! Aloe plants make great plants for outside your kitchen door. OR in your home. Easy to maintain. Good for kitchen burns while cooking too.

6. Add moisture back to your skin! Soothe your skin further by applying your fav’ moisturizer and face cream. My latest aloe find is Therapispa aloe lotion for the body and the face cream.

I hope and know you will find these skin rescues for your skin useful.

Enjoy a healthy dose of the sun 🌞 this summer!

Playing in the SUN!

IMG_1808Is so much fun!

This weekend we celebrate Memorial day weekend with barbeques, cocktails and  spending time outdoors in the SUNSHINE! While Florida is not going to get a piece of that sunny pie due to the subtropical storm that’s headed our way you may get your share of fun in the sun.

SAVE that pretty face!

Use a self tanner a few days or the night before you go out in the sun. You’ll get a dash of color and feel better too.

Sunscreen! MY ANTI-AGING DREAM CREAM! A shot glass applied to your skin at least every 4 hours will cover you!

Did you know there are many other ways you can protect your skin from the sun?  Powder up with Sun Powder. A light powder with sunscreen that protects and evens out your complexion a bit.

Wear a lip conditioner or a hydrating lipstick but stay away from glossy extra shiny lip gloss. They attract the sun to your face and may actually give you a sunburn.

Wear SUNNIES but buy non reflective shiny sunglasses While I love the way they look they too attract the suns rays and can give you a burn.

Wear a pretty or fun in the sun hat…any kind of hat. Did you know even your scalp and hair can get a sunburn?

If you do happen to get sunburned on your face this summer season …HELP is your refrigerator. Plain organic yogurt works wonders to calm the heat and your skin down.

Another trick is to bathe in real milk (This was Cleopatra’s beauty secret). OR pour some milk on wash cloth with cold milk. Applied to your skin it cools you down and helps with sunburn and peeling.

Nowadays…There is NO REASON why you have to get a sunburn.

You don’t want old leathery looking skin, sunspots, red splotches, wrinkles or worse yet skin cancer. Do you?

Beauty Secrets from around the globe!

image1

I’d like to share some simple beauty and skin care secrets from around the world!

Some are from my travels and some are from women I have met.

The women of Greece keep healthy  by eating that creamy and dreamy Greek yogurt we find readily available at stores.Since it contains so many health and beauty benefits. They are also avid users of skin care products made with olive oil. The women and men are mindful of what they eat and a Mediterranean diet is another beauty and lifestyle secret.

The women of China and Hong Kong clamor for pearl cream and sheet masks of all kinds.Examples: pearl, aloe, bamboo rose and more. They also eat lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. The latest and greatest that has made it to our US grocery stores is the Dragon fruit for it’s anti-aging properties.I love it in smoothies and acai bowls.

Egypt Cleopatra stated it all! The milk and honey bath and honey face masks.

France! Who doesn’t have a love affair with France. While there are many delectable pastries and breads the secret to their success is by eating small meals and just a taste of deserts. Not giant portions of them. Red wine is part of their daily evening meal.As you know it contains resveratrol and is really good for heart heath. The spas offer Vinotherapy which is a wine themed therapy all made with red wine. And wearing a luscious red lipstick and a pair of sunnies  go a long chic way!

Brazil  known for the infamous Brazilian butt lifts and Brazilian blowouts for flawless smooth hair.

I enjoy doing all of the above…minus the surgical butt lift and my hair does not need that type of treatment.

I hope you enjoy these beauty and skin secrets and experiment with them too!

* I prefer to make my own yogurt and smoothies NOW since I recently discovered this good for my health find. I love the Belle and Bella starter kit. (I find mine at Whole Foods Market) D.I.Y. has never been more fun and yogurt has never tasted so good. So much more delicious and no preservatives, sweeteners or other additives.

I LOVE my new yogurt machine found on http://www.BelleandBella.com

It was so much fun even my husband got in on the action in the kitchen!

Now you know I am a makeup artist and skin therapist and all about taking care of your skin. So, I must share a recipe for your face today too.

A D.I.Y. Yogurt Smoothie for your Face you can make in the comfort of your own home!

1/2 cup of fresh plain yogurt

1 teaspoon of  honey

Mix the two together.Apply the mask on your face for an awesome skin treat. It is like visiting the plastic surgeon or dermatologist’s office for a facial peel but cheaper, gentle and all natural. You control the ingredients!

I love being a Skin Chef (that’s what my clients call me) and whipping up ways to get you gorgeous naturally!
The lactic acid in the yogurt gently buffs away dead skin cells and the honey seals in moisture and softens the skin.
Apply to clean face and leave on at least 10 minutes. Rinse well with lukewarm water and a washcloth.

Your skin will love you and say thank you too!

If you want to see me on TV today tune in on The Chat on ABC25 or NBC12 IF you live in Florida or Georgia at 3:00 TODAY or check out the video clip later today on http://www.firstcoastnews.comphotoYOGOURMET

I LOVE AMERICA and the beauty of Blueberries!

Since I was a little girl, I have been making beauty potions. Now that I’m older and as a beauty professional, I love to do them even more.

Hot and steamy weather calls for this!
This is one of my summer favorite beauty recipes for amazing skin treatments not found in a jar but down the aisles of Whole Foods Market or a market wherever you may shop and live! Your skin will LOVE the benefits from these recipes. You can make this recipe for yourself, with your daughter, your mom or even your sweetie.

My husband loves these spa at home recipes too!

½ cup of fresh or frozen blueberries
½ cup of plain creamy Greek yogurt
¼ cup of organic local Honey if possible

Rinse the berries and place in a blender. Add the honey and yogurt.
Blend until creamy. Using your clean fingers or a stiff fan mask brush apply the mask to your face and neck.
Allow it to rest on your face at least 10 to 15 minutes. Remove with luke warm water and a
washcloth.

Please note: If you are allergic to the above obviously do not try the recipe. In addition, these are made from scratch so the shelf life is a few days in a tightly closed glass jar in the refrigerator. I suggest using them to the last drop and enjoy it all at once or in a couple of days.

I also like to use blueberries in a salad, over yogurt or freeze as ice cubes in lemonade.

Blueberries are like healthy candy for my body instead of a real candy bar. Honey is a natural moisturizer that locks in moisture. Your skin loves yogurt and all of the above are found in fabulous face and body creams sold on store shelves.

If you love to be healthy, eco-friendly, green and gorgeous…come back to my blog soon.

Happy 4th of July if you live in America!!!

If you don’t have a fab weekend and enjoy this recipe too.
