Happy Thanksgiving …thoughts!

As we celebrate thanksgiving day I have a few things to say…

I wish the readers of my blog today and followers too a fabulous and yummy Thanksgiving day. I am happy to have you in my life in some small way.

Next,I’d like to ask is…

What are you thankful for?

I am thankful I opened my eyes and woke up today. It was even sweeter when I heard the glorious Star-spangled banner  anthem outside my window. Today they amped up the volume but it was still  beautiful.I live near a naval base. I am happy I was born and raised in America and happy it is my home.

I am thankful for my lovely family. And darling funny husband. I only wish my twin brother, mom and dad were here to share my days with me.Gosh how I miss them!!!

I am thankful  for ALL the little things in life that can bring us so much joy. The sun,the moon, the stars the smell of fresh cut grass and more.

I am thankful for a roof over my head and food on the table.

I am thankful for bakers and chefs not only for making healthier fresh bread but dessert…yes I have a major sweet tooth!

I am thankful for the farmer I am an avid foodie and so love supporting them and eating fresh fruit and vegetables.

I am thankful for fuel for hot baths and warm showers. Especially with a bit of bubbly like a bubble bath.

I m thankful for music which fills my ear with joy.

I am thankful for the person who invented LIPSTICK! They were brilliant! A swipe of color goes a long way!

I am thankful for fuel to jet around town and jet around on a flight to all the amazing places I get to go for my work and to play.

I am thankful for good health.

I am thankful for all I have learned in life and can’t wait to learn more!

AND…I thank MACY’S for bringing me back home even if it is on the TV screen.LOVE the Macy’s Thanksgiving day parade! The 90th year.

A true miracle on 34th street where I used to work! #theresnoplacelikehomegive-thanks-leaves-photo-jpg-2016Give THANKS…Not just for today but tomorrow and always!

Have a yummy and beautiful thanksgiving day everyone !

A gift of Music

SANCTUARY 2

Have you ever met someone you made an unforgettable IMMEDIATE connecting with from the moment you looked in their eyes?

Have you ever listened to music and thought it was made just for you?

The man George Skaroulis was that face that made such a lovely impression and connection with my heart. From the moment we met while I was guest speaking at a spa show in Las Vegas. Who just happens to be a pianist with the most amazing music that will touch your heart and soul. I have been listening to his music for a couple of years. He’s just come out with a new CD and I simply wanted to share with you.

I think music is another perfect gift.

I LOVE listening to it in my car,my office and home.I’m sure you do too.I think I love it even more because my mother was a pianist and a vocal teacher. She tried to teach me the piano. But I didn’t think it was cool. At the time…now I know better. With age comes wisdom with time comes an appreciation of her beautiful piano lessons and his beautiful music.

His CD’s are the type of music you hear when getting a massage, fine dining and or at a spa. But wait, no whale music and the ocean…just piano and his magical musical heart to piano keys connection.

I can’t imagine life without music especially George Skaroulis.

Thinking about someone stressed out on your gift list?

Want to make them feel amazing just by music? Give the gift of music.

I miss her beautiful blue eyes.

I miss her face!

I miss the sound of her unique sweet voice.

I miss how her face would light up when I entered the room.

I miss her crazy meal concoctions. She wasn’t a gourmet chef and no we were to poor to eat like the rich or sort of rich. She whipped up some amazing meals not amazing by taste.Amazing the way she made it happen and fed us every day in her own Polish-American way! Raising all her children alone after my father died.Taking good care of us.

I miss her style.

I miss her speaking to me in Polish.

I miss taking her out for breakfast, lunch dinner or coffee. She would have gotten a kick out of Starbucks,Tea shops and other cafes and coffee shops.

I miss the sound of her playing on her baby grand piano.

I miss her scent.

I miss the sound of her songs and musical voice.

I miss her smile!

I miss being and FEELING loved by her.

Got dry skin,chapped lips,dry cough?

humidifier violife

It has been a crazy cold week in not so sunny Florida since the new year began and as I write I am drenched in air beauty and my pretty pink warm bathrobe. Listening to George Skaroulis’s soothing CD named Sanctuary I am creating a beauty sanctuary for me. My new go to beauty product is not a dream anti-aging serum and is not “hope in a jar”…It is a humidifier!

Along side my soothing illuminating salt lamp, my happy Buddha figurine I am feeling healthy and so serene. Keeping the air around me and my family filled with the magic of this inexpensive user friendly humidifier.Your skin gets thirsty just like your body craves water.A humidifier is great for your home, bedside, office, end table, reading nook, hotel room…where a little moisture adds a lot of comfort. Especially in the colder weather we have been having. The humidifier delivers an ultra fine vapor without large or heavy tanks to fill every few hours.

Violife is the name of the brand and it uses a standard 16 oz. drinking water bottle, remove the cap, place the bottle adapter on the bottle and turn down to place in the unit.Another great feature besides the personal mist is it outputs 3 different changing light, for added peaceful looking ambience.

Do you suffer from chapped lips, dry skin, sinus problems, snoring, dry cough or itchy skin? This may just be the healthy thing for you and your new beauty cream.(along with your skin care beauty regime)

Take care of the skin you live in!

Hope you’ll take better care of yourself in this brand new year!

How To Create a Place for Relaxation & …

10-26-2013 Kumasi & NOREEN PHOTO -1Get a good night’s sleep!

Today on TV I will share some easy inexpensive and effective ways to create calm when ALL the crazy and beautiful holidays are coming.

My Top Ten List

Select a cozy lounge chair, beautiful lamp and blanket to wrap yourself in.

A zen like statue, subliminal signs like ones that say “RELAX,A day at the Beach,Love,Peace”

Candles battery operated or the real thing.

Salt Lamps good for your health and mood.Just looking at them in your room lit up makes you feel a sense of calm.

Fresh flowers, herbs or orchid plant to purify the air and to go to sleep by.

Spray the room with aromatic room spray scents like lavender & vanilla. The Febreeze brand has come out with a new sleep spray scent.http://www.febreeze.com

Sleep on pillow cases, sheets and blankets that are NOT wild patterns or colors.I love the beautiful spiritual sayings on the pillow cases by http://www.irestmycaseinc.com You may browse and shop them at etsy.com/shop/irestmycaseinc

Tired Eyes,Allergy Eyes or Migraine eyes call for COOL eye mini eye masks just like the DAY SPAS use.

Sleep masks DO WORK and get you in the mood.I love the ones by http://www.marygreen.com

Sipping chamomile tea or warm milk work wonders.

Listen to music like they play at the spas. My fave artists and CD’s are David Young Bliss or Solace and George Skaroulis Sanctuary. You’ve gotta own at least one of these.

Apply a LUXURIOUS lotion that makes you feel good or an herb type towelette that assures relaxation like http://www.herbenessentials.com

I LOVE to surround myself with things that make me happy.

ALL of the above will put you in the mood for REST and a catch some ZZZZZ’s. Share with me what works for you! I always LOVE TO HEAR FROM YOU!

I hope they help you and give you the beauty rest you WILL need!!

Allergies got you down?

SALT LAMPS

ME TOO!My voice sounds like a sexy 900 line phone gal!

As a beauty therapist I am always on the hunt for healthy beauty too. I have found relief for my allergies and to stress less.
It is a salt lamp.

Like the salty ocean air, salt lamps are an amazing generator of negative ions. Simply put they clean and purify the air. They also ease a person into an alpha state, a state in which you feel completely in the moment and not distracted by stress. When on they illuminate your space with a beautiful array of colors. A glowing golden amber, light pink and soft orange illuminates your space and relaxes. You have to see it in person and FEEL it to truly believe in it.

Great for your office near your computer, a bedroom, hallway, living room or create your own meditation room or corner and enjoy some spa like music too.

If you have pets this really helps clean your air. It also helps to improve the quality of smokers air.Especially helpful if you don’t smoke and someone in your house does.

LIFE in the 21st century as well as the economy has become so stressful for your body, mind and spirit. Light up your world and feel better by surrounding yourself with this amazing creation. rich in history from the Himalayan mountains to salt spas in Poland…FEEL the mystical powers they convey and the healing energy.

While I am not a doctor and not trying to make any health claims EXCEPT the facts they say about these lamps…I do feel better and am stressing less.
Simply had to share with you!

Light up your world with a healthy twist.
